Description: We are a new cafe in Bangkok creating employment for young people from the Klong Toey Slum. We are passionate about seeing young people have opportunity to relate to people and life outside the slum. Our vision is that the cafe creates a safe environment for young people to work, gain experience and confidence with every cup of coffee we serve. Through journeying with our staff we hope the cafe will be a stepping stone to future employment and broadening their horizons.

“Best Coffee in Thailand & Bringing hope!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

I have been to Thailand on many trips for both work and holidays and sometimes your options for good coffee are pretty limited. Not only does Munjai Cafe make AMAZING coffee (I live in Melbourne - i.e. coffee snob) but the food is just excellent with both Thai and Western choices at excellent prices. There is free Wifi, a lounge area, a safe space for kids to play, excellent bathroom facilities and the service is exceptionally friendly and fast.
The whole point of this place is to give employment opportunities for young people in poorer areas of Bangkok and it is inspiring to see the hope that such an enterprise is bringing. You will not only be well fed and relaxed (in a busy and noisy city) you will have contributed to something bigger in creating hope and opportunity for young people in Thailand. Don't miss out on visiting - you will not be disappointed.

“Munjai cafe ticks all the boxes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Last week there was a sale of lots of amazing goods from Second Chance, Khlong Toei Handicrafts, Helping Hands and the wonderful Cooking with Poo books. After I'd bought some wonderful gifts to take back home this summer I sat down with friends for lunch. It was delicious and excellent value for money. I'd definitely go again and would thoroughly recommend it.
