Me and my girlfriend were shopping at Siam paragon one day, and after we ended up walking down Phayathai road to catch a Taxi bak to the Mandarin Oriental.
When we tried to cross the road at The Hua Chang bridge, we were told that we had to walk underneath the bridge, and turn left at the end.
When we headed down Phayatai road, we saw this new building with an beautiful facade.
We decided to go an check out which hotel this was.
When we walked in, we were amazed by the design of the lobby,
And our first thought was that it reminded us about a chic Paris hotel.
We really wanted to try out this new hotel, and spoke with a polite member of the staff, who gave us the managers business card so we could call the day after.
When we got back to the Mandarin, we tried to google the hotel, but there wasn't much info about it.
Even on Tripadvisor we found nothing.
We tried the hotel website, but it was still under construction, so we decided to just wait until the next day.
When we woke up, we called the manager, and told that we passed by they're hotel,
and that we were interested in trying it out.
We agreed to come have a look at the facilities, since the hotel was so new, that there were no pictures ready for the internet yet.
We were greeted by several staff members when we arrived at the hotel for our "tour".
They showed us around the lobby, outdoor pool, the restaurant, and two of the rooms that actually was finished maybe 5 minutes before we arrived.
When we saw the room, we were sold.
We still had 2 nights remaining at our old hotel, but the deal we got at the hua chang heritage, made us check out, and check inn at the hua chang heritage.
We booked for 7 nights, and i must say that we had the best time at this hotel.
Ofcourse there were some minor problems which every newly opened hotel experiences, but the way the staff handled this, was so nicely done, that we didn't even mind.
You get your own butler who helps you with everything.
We got our clothed delivered to a nearby laundry, because this would be cheaper for us.
When we had any questions during our stay, we could simply e-mail our butler directly.
They change your towels 2 times a day, and in the evening, they will deliver a small bowl with treats, and a card where they wish you a goodnight sleep etc.
We stayed at the 2floor, and we had a lovely garden view.
The hotel is right in the middle of everything, so you must expect some traffic noise.
But really, this didn't bother us at all.
The toilet is automatic, so you can choose temperature on your toilet seat, and if you want, u can choose water wash and dryer.
The bathtub is right in the middle of the room, but conveniently you can cover this up with sliding doors, giving the room a nice effect.
Also, all the lightings, aircondition etc can be operated by a touch screen panel in your night-table drawer.
Here you can also choose to not be disturbed, make up my room, alarm clock, etc.
The breakfast can be delivered to your room, or you can eat at the restaurant.
They did not charge anything to deliver this to our room.
You have a set menu with many options for your breakfast.
We usually ordered french salad with fresh dressing, omelette with bacon, onion and cheese, crispy bacon as side order, fresh orange juice, coffee with milk and fresh fruits.
The staff working in the restaurant are extremely effective, and will be there for your every request.
This goes for the hotel staff generally.
You will always be welcomed with a smile and they seem honestly interested in how you are, and if they can do anything to make your stay more pleasant.
When ordering a taxi, they will also make sure that your car turn on the taximeter, and they will write down the number of the taxi, so if you should experience anything, they will know whom drove you.
Location is Excellent!
The hotel is so close to everything.
Turn right when leaving the hotel entrance, and you follow a narrow one way road 250 meters, and your at national stadium skytrain station, mbk, siam etc etc.
You will never need to take a taxi if your going shopping downtown.
There were a slight misunderstanding with our special rate, but they fixed this instantly, and i think they even gave us an additional rebate.
The one thing i missed though, were gym facilities.
Hopefully this will be on their agenda :)
After we checked out, we found out that we'd forgotten one of our bags.
Since the traffic was so bad, they sent a member of the staff on a scooter to meet us!
I would like to see this happen at any other Bangkok hotel!
And of course they wouldn't want to charge us extra for this.
The owners of this hotel, are the Baiyoke family,
and they have several hotels in Bangkok.
I never stayed at any of their other hotels, but if you like to stay at a more intimate and personal hotel, where the staff really cares for you,
there is no doubt that this is the hotel for you.
PS: very fast wifi aswell!
Me and my girlfriend fell in love with this hotel, and we are heading back this summer.
Perfect week at the end of our 3 week trip in Thailand.
Usually we stay at the same hotels when we travel.
Mandarin oriental, Four seasons, Peninsula hotels, Shangri-La, Ritz-Carlton, Park Hyatt, J.W Marriott etc etc, But if you also like to stay at decent hotels when travelling,
please give this hotel a chance!
The only negative thing i can think about, is that the closet space is limited.
Should have more room for shoes, suits, dresses etc.
This will surely be fixed before our next visit.
You should really go for the Garden Deluxe or the new suites :) well worth the money!
