Paradise Dynasty, part of a Singapore chain, opened here recently. They have a great space, being in a corner at one end of the the Siam Paragon mall, one floor below the Cineplex, it is very bright and airy. The waiters are attentive but not hovering and deal easily with foreigners. There is a roaming guy with a long-spouted teapot refilling everyone's cups. It is amazing to watch as he did not spill a drop. In the two visits I have made to this location, I have only had the Shanghai Dumplings. There are eight flavors, each with a different colored wrapper. You can get each flavor individually, six at a time, or the sampler containing one of each. If you have never had Shanghai Dumplings, they are a small challenge to eat gracefully. Surrounding the filling is a broth - caution: it is very hot - that bursts out of the wrapper with little effort. If you somehow manage to contain it, with the Chinese soup spoon provided, you will be rewarded. It has stewed with the filling and is delicious! They have a full menu (in English, too) of other Chinese specialties, but I have yet to get beyond the dumplings.
