“The Nook is a quiet, clean and friendly hotel in the heart of Bangkok”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

You can't get any closer to the attractions of downtown Bangkok. This hotel is run by a very friendly and very helpful European-Thai couple. Rooms are spacious and clean, a substantial breakfast is included. Down a quiet lane and very near to great shopping, skytrain (Ratchathewi) and the airport link as well. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable and economic place to sleep. Most importantly I felt safe, and there was a night security system as well.

I've stayed in The Nook for 3d2n and I loved it! The location is excellent, it is near to BTS station, walking distance to Pratunam area, Panthip Plaza etc. The room we had was quite big but due to its simplicity it looked empty, however overall the cleanliness is good, the bed is comfy, and they provide 2 bottles of water everyday. The owner was especially helpful in giving us directions and help. We visited the massage parlour at soi 15 recommended by them and found the price reasonable, not to mention the service was satisfying as well. Before we left to airport, the owner even helped us to call a metered taxi to pick us up from The Nook. This is the right place to stay, affordable and friendly. I'll definitely stay at The Nook again!

Good sized room. Very clean and plenty of space to sort things out.
Breakfast good.
Reception helpful and informative.
Night market around the corner and many good eating places.
Felt very safe and secure.
Cross Petchburi on the footbridge adjacent to Soi 13 - this makes the Skytrain very easy to access - about 5 to 10 mins walking.
Weekend market at Chit Moi only two stops away. Sky train to Railway Station via Sky Train and MRT (underground) about 30 mins and easy.
Excellent English spoken.

This place is really worth every Baht! Especially if you compare it with Metro Resort at the end of the street, which takes double of the price. Frederik is a capable owner of the hotel who really takes care of every wish you have, the sleeping quality is really really good in a city like bangkok. And the situation is perfect, it is in walking distance to Siam Paragon, and you can take the Skytrain to Phraya Thai where you can change to the airport link. I dont actually want to review this hotel, because i want to keep it as a secret. But this Hotel deserves the highest review. And this place can be recommended for a long stay in Bangkok (i stayed for 14 Days). Try the Rice soup for breakfast, perfece first impression of Thai food!

Reasonably priced, super clean, safe hotel with helpful staff and a location right smack in the middle of everything: Platinum Mall, massage and the metro are all within a five minute stroll. Such a gem you'll want to keep it a secret.

Clean, clean, clean. GREAT air conditioning, very helpful staff. The rooms are basic but very large and the shower is fantastic. Free wifi was very helpful and always available. The hotel is family owned and it shows. They take care of their guests as if you were a family friend. The breakfast was great and the coffee was good. The breakfast is made to order not in a cold buffet. This is a great place to retreat to after the rush and heat of exploring Bangkok. It is quiet, peaceful, cool and comfortable.
