“Only needed for location”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We prebooked this place as it was close to the airport for an early flight which is our reason for marking it good for location. We booked through hostelbookers, but also emailed the owner directly as we were travelling with 4 children and wanted to make sure they had room. When we arrived the owner was not set up for us, but very quickly set up the room with extra beds. After we paid, this was the last time we saw him. He was not interested in helping with taxi travel to the airport. After the fantastic friendly and helpful staff from our past and present hostels, this one really fell flat. No aircon. The room was way too hot and small for us. Such a shame as the 5 minute taxi to the airport could make this place do really well with better service and a smile :/

It was a very cheap single room which was very bare and no curtains but I only wanted to rest my head for a few hours. I left the airport via the train and tried to get a taxi from the nearest train station to the hostel (the directions are on their profile). What a bad idea!! None of the taxi drivers would take me (or even help give me directions to walk) as it's a short distance but in the dark without a map I wasn't going to randomly start walking about along the freeway, not even sure which direction. I eventually after about an hour got some help from a local who got a taxi but asked the driver to go via this hostel. It was still not overly easy to find. Once there the lady was nice and quite helpful. There is a seven eleven nearby short walk along freeway but that's about it. I would probably stay there again if really skint but only in emergency if i'm honest.

From what I understand a very new hostel.... You wont get cheaper in BK and wont you get in return is Phenomenal. Clean rooms/bathroom and wifi is good.... The owner (David) is a great guy always willing to help out where possible... I had my car and had street parking out the front, and the area is guarded by security. The location was perfect for me... Right at the airport and only a 20 minute skytrain ride from central... Highly recommended

Been here for a few days now. The hostel's just getting started, so not everything is the way it will be. Owner is a nice Swede who lives here. The dorms have few beds and are spacious enough, though at this point sparse of anything but the bunks. Guys dorm is on the 2nd floor, women's 3rd and 2 private rooms on the 4th. Lobby is good for hanging out and chatting with fellow travelers. If you're a plane watcher, this is as good as it's gonna get for hostels (the only other better view is from the train)! Go to the roof to watch them come in or just stand out on the street. Noise from the planes won't disturb your sleep. Also, the hostel's on a nice residential street and good for a walk to see typical wealthier Thai homes.

Cold showers which is fine - why pay more for hot water you really don't need. There's no A/C, but this is already advertised on the hostel's site. And yes, it is very warm at night! Wi-fi works very well (no on-site computers). Within walking distance to the train (1/2 km. maybe), tho don't know yet how safe it is to do it. The only drawback to this hostel is the lack of eateries. Very few really (and they're more expensive than the street food you can find in the city!) and if you don't know Thai will probably be out of luck in the food communication dept. So best for a night or two. One note: go to the website and memorize the local of it on the map. The taxi drivers might not know where this street is.
