We stayed at this hotel for three nights for leisure.
Non-smoking hotel! Yay!
Location was great since BTS station "National Stadium" is just right outside the entrance. You can walk out and start checking out MBK, Siam Square, Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon, Central World Trade, Central Chitlom (take BTS back to hotel). Otherwise, take BTS to MoChit (to Jatujak Weekend Market) or to Asok (Terminal 21) etc.
Breakfast was nothing fancy, but all essentials (western, eastern) were there and reasonably delicious. There are many local thai restaurants within this area where pricing is reasonably cheap, with english and picture menu, and food are delicious and authentic! So it's not necessary to eat within the hotel.
All electricity plugs in bedroom were universal adapter type. There are 3 units in the room and all in good working condition.
Air-Conditioning are working ok.
Handsoap and shower gel are both in dispenser type. Environmental friendly. Good quality.
Sheets, linen and towels are clean.
There's a long counter top that serves as a table for all purpose. When you unpack, you put your stuffs on this table. When you pack, you clear everything on this table except the coffee-tea making facility.
There's an empty minibar where you can chill the drinks you buy from the 7-11 few steps away. I even bought a pack of cut sour mango and ate it for 2 days. it stayed fresh.
Safe to put whatever that's valuable and passport.
Staffs are courteous and friendly, but not overzealous.
Poor quality of sleep. I kept waking up in the middle of the night. and my partner had the same issue as well.
Please bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Otherwise you can bought it at BigC supermarket next to Arnoma hotel. They have few brands, variety in travel size. And you can buy thai snacks within the same supermarket.
Hot water in shower was rather inconsistent. the temperature fluctuates. When it's warm, the heat will continue to go up until you can't bear it and turn the knob a little, then cold water come on very quickly. No fun.
the front-office had a foul smell. and beware of mosquitoes if you plan to use the computers next to the front office for free.
there's no drawers, large closet space, iron board, etc. But if you're expecting these, you should check out the Mercure within the same building, if you really like the location.
In a nutshell, it's great for very short stay if you are planning to be out most of the time.
