I have been to Baan Mae Yui many times and always want to come back. The majority are Thai simple dishes such as Pad Thai, Shianghai noodles pad kee-mao, soup noodles, pork satae, i-san sausages etc. which sound simple but the taste is exceptionally the best I have ever tasted. The highlight is their prawn garlic fried rice, absolutely devine. They use ingredients of the best quality particularly large prawns. Also have western dishes which I have only tried a few, tasty as well. The drinks that all must try is Thai orange milk tea (Cha-nom-yen) again the best ever, not too sweet, just right. Western desserts are wonderful as well including homemade ice-cream and chocolate lava. Highlight Thai dessert is the candied (sweetened) sweet potato (mun chuem) that you will never find anywhere in Bangkok. So delicious they must use a special sweet potato and the sweetness is just perfect. The prices are not cheap considering they are not air-conditioned service is okay. The location is in a residential soi and parking can be a bit difficult but definitely worth it. Note, they do not accept credit cards and the bill is frequently miscalculated so must double check. Definitely, my most favorite Thai restaurant in BKK would give it 10 stars!!
