“Great spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

Service was a little slow, food was nice but could have been better. The cocktail list is excellent. The space is stunning and truly transporting - aesthetically, Quince would fit in easily in Brooklyn, Paris, London or San Francisco. After several consecutive days of Thai food, it was a nice change of pace.

“Great decor but food did not steal my heart”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013 via mobile

The trendy industrial decor with high ceilings was great ambience. I sat at the bar to wait for friends and the staff were very nice and friendly. We later moved outside even though we dont smoke as it was a nice night. Wine by the glass was ok and disappointing that the caipirinha was made with white rum and not the Brazillian cacacha. Mixed feelings about the food- the Hummus very nice and creamy, taboleh too sweet, crab pasta was plentiful but taste was unremarkable. Chocolate tart was very rich but still did not steal anyone's hearts.
As the night went on the wait service became more scant. If you sit outside you really have to wave them down. However, it was not bad service and the waitress asked us earnestly after we paid the bill if we liked the food. I gave her all the above criticism and she was sincerely apologetic. Dont know if such comments reach the owners though.
I would go back to try other dishes. If you go you should go early -6 pm for a drink and avoid friday, satirday as it is always crowded.

“order before you arrive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

after hearing mixed reviews, we tried their lunch (same dinner menu). Very unique and tasty, but it takes ages to get the staff's attention and even longer to get what you request; from the menu to the check. We can only imagine how they handle a crowd, they were less than 30% full. we noticed the frustration of other groups, especially when the chef forgot the entree of one. We will try again, but know the exact table and selection to order as soon as we sit. Perfect place to sit and hang out a while.

“Very Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

We visited this restaurant back in June13. In Bangkok, it seems a new restaurant is opened every week. We are always spoil for choice but finding a good one is always challenging. Quince definitely make the cut as one of the top new restaurant in ultra competitive industry. We like the fusion style European cooking which is refreshingly delicious, Service was prompt but no nonsense. The restaurant had good wipes and perfect to come with friend for a good night out. We enjoyed ourselves!

“Almost good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

We had dinner on a Saturday night and it was full house. As other reviewer mentioned the service was far from perfect, but anyway this is rather common in Bangkok. I´ve found the tables too near of each other, at least in the main room where we were seated.

Food selection was good for starters but rather limited in mains. While the starters were quite good (Croquetas, Baht 140 and Hummus, Baht 90), the mains were so-so, especially the Beef Ribeye as the cut that we were served was far from being a good quality one. They should have a proper meat and if they have to charge more let it be (it was 850 Baht), but I can get much better meat in many other places in Bangkok for this price.

Drinks were as expected in the upper side, but this is common anyway. They mentioned that they have a good list of Spanish wines, but I've found most of them not so well known and rather expensive. Most of the bottles will be around 1,600 Baht and more although house wine will be 1,200 Baht.

Finally I must say it is a nice place. Staff try their best, although they can be a bit slow, but overall I still think it is a good place and could be much better if they have more selection for mains.
