A few friends had recommended this place and told us that they made the 'best burgers in Bangkok' - after being told that, how could we not try it?
We called to make a reservation because we thought that being a Saturday night, and seemingly a great restaurant, that it would be busy. We arrived at 8:30pm and were shown to our table by an attentive member of staff but were surprised to see only 3 other tables occupied by customers. Menus were provided straight away and the waiter hung around to take our drinks order - of which there was quite a selection to choose from. The Oreo milkshake had to be the winner of the night though out of all the drinks we ordered, though if you're more into fizzy drinks, the 'factory summer brew' was a nice change from always drinking coke.
The menu lay out is a little confusing but as soon as you find the section (burgers, pasta, starters etc) that you are after then it is plain sailing. There isn't a huge option for burgers in terms or a variety of toppings, but there is a lot of choice of patty. There are chicken, salmon, pork, beef and even veggie burgers. The great thing here is that if you want a burger but you don't want to feel too guilty afterwards you can simply substitute the bread bun for a lettuce wrap - still getting all the enjoyment from the patty without the added, heavy carbs. You can also choose the free side (not charged as another review suggested) that is served with your burger. The choices are fries, wedges, curly fries, waffle fries or potato salad. As well as this you can add extras to your burger such as extra cheese, bacon, egg or avocado.
The burgers (two factory, one chicken and one veggie) all arrived well presented and the portion sizes were big. The burgers were a bit messy to get your mouth around but that was half of the fun of eating them! The beef patty was cooked medium so was still a bit juicy and the fillings were all fresh and tasty.
The pudding menu looked yummy with a choice of ice-cream, chocolate lava cake and creme brûlée but we were all too full to try any of these. Instead, after our plates were cleared we were left to sit and talk without being given the bill or made to feel like we had to leave. We ended up leaving at 11pm - by this time we were the last people in the restaurant. It's a shame it isn't a busier place but I guess it is still new and many people don't yet know about it. Hopefully as word spreads more people will be able to enjoy the atmosphere and taste of this restaurant. I know we'll be heading back.
