Subway has several locations in Bangkok, and you can also order sandwiches for delivery, which is nice.
The problem is, if you are a sandwich Nazi, as I am, you will be disappointed by Subway in Thailand.
Few other restaurant chains are so stingy.
They literally count out how many small pieces of black olive that they will include in a sandwich. Fortunately, they make it right in front of you, so you can gently persuade your preparer to include more onions, more olives, more tomatoes, or whatever, because you will have to do so.
Assume that you will have to order "double meat." If you leave it to them, you will end up with a very small, slim, stingy portion that is lost in lettuce. So order double meat. You may even want to order triple meat. I am serious.
Same with the cheese. You may need to order double cheese.
The breads are ok. There is not much more to a sandwich, except perhaps oil and vinegar, or mayonnaise, but you will want to be precise about how much of these ingredients you prefer in your sandwich. Same with salt and pepper.
The location on Sukhumvit soi 7 is interesting, as you are in the heart of darkest Bangkok. The people-watching is unmatched.
If you get a massage, or a "massage," or if you engage in other forensic cultural activities in one of the establishments on Soi 7 or Soi 7-1, Subway can be a good pit stop to regenerate your energy. And it is very close to the SkyTrain escalator.
Thank God for small mercies.
There is a bathroom on the premises. I seem to recall lots of people using their computers in there, so there may also be Wi-Fi available. There are several floors in the Soi 7 branch.
If you order for delivery, be very precise about how you want your sandwich prepared. If you leave it to them, you will receive a hunk of bread with a very little bit of ingredients. You have been warned.
Hope that this helps! Enjoy.
