I booked for a Morroco Clay Body Wrap and Aromatheraphy Hot Oil Massage a week earlier and took the 10am slot, to get extra discounts. Heh. I arrived half an hour earlier, but, was surprised to only having to wait 5 minutes before I was called in.
I took the BTS sky train and walked in, I wish I hadn't done that, but, I went out a little too early anyway. It took a good 15-20 minutes to walk from the train station, if I'm not wrong.
Everyone there was very polite and gracious. I was told to fill up a form while someone offered a cup of ginger tea. I was ushered to the second floor by a flight of stairs to a room at the end of the corridor. The second floor was pretty dimly-lit. A little creepy for my taste. I was given 5 minutes for a quick shower, there was a shower room in the room, and change, keeping my personal belongings in a cupboard beside the massage bed.
Using the draping technique, the lady spread the clay all over my body and wrapped me in a plastic film and covered me with 2 towels, one for the top part and one for the bottom part of my body. She then said she'd come back in half an hour and I actually fell asleep even though I was wrapped like a mummy in a dark room. The music that was being placed was quite soothing and relaxing. The room temperature was just nice throughout the whole time. Not too cold and not too warm.
After that, she wiped my feet and helped me to a sitting position and requested me to shower off the clay while she waited outside. After I was done and had changed to new inner wear, she came in and with draping techniques once again, she gave such a good massage to my tired body. Initially asking whether the pressure was too strong. Upon finishing, she helped me to a sitting position and requested me to have another shower to wash off the oil while she waited outside and then ushered me downstairs, while being greeted with another cup of ginger tea.
The receptionist asked me whether I could wait for the next customers who were finishing in 10 minutes to take a free ride back to my hotel. Apparently, I waited for two Korean ladies who dropped off a few metres away from my stop. But, the receptionist asked me beforehand whether I was rushing off and would have preferred a trip back straight away. I chose to wait anyway.
The body wrap was great for my sensitive skin, leaving it moisturised and did not aggravate it and the massage was simply good! Would go again. Maybe I'd try the other outlet next time.
