“If you're into this sort of thing....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

The museum building is beautiful. The exhibition of the Thai Queen's outfits are very well displayed. Entrance fee is THB150 for Thais and foreigners alike.
The whole experience took me about an hour.

“Queen's Royal Clothing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

A real gem of a museum. Hi-tech displays showing Royal clothing as worn by the Queen of Thailand down the years. Freindly, helpful museum staff make for a memorable visit.

“Don't Miss This”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

This was my second visit to Bangkok and the Grand Palace, and I missed this the first time. I stopped in because of the A/C, and when I found out it was free, decided to check it out. Ended up spending much more time than expected, lots of the queen's clothes on display, excellent history lesson on the queen's role in Thailand and some of her projects, history of traditional thai dress, explains the making of silk. Staff could not be friendlier. This museum is extremely well done and maintained, felt more like an event than a museum visit. Additionally, nice gift shop with items that are made through the queen's foundation, so proceeds definitely go to a good cause, found items that I've never seen for sale in other parts of Bangkok or Thailand. After going here, I can better understand why the Thai people really love the king and queen.

“Interesting!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

When we first entered the museum I was in two minds as to what it would be like but after moving through it became quite interesting. A lot of information on the queens commitment to arts and craft and the history of silk. Do miss the studio downstairs where they let you dress up in traditional outfits....a good photo opportunity.

“A Little gem of a Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

This museum just opened this year and is very lovely, especially to those interested in textiles and costume. Each room has an english speaking hostess to show you around and answer questions. The queen's costumes are displayed from the time she was a young slip of a girl through her matronly development. Great video about how she helped develop a Thai style for women. Only drawback is no pictures allowed. Beautiful gift shop with reasonable prices. If you are at the Grand Palace, don't miss it!
