“Authentic food, great service in a rich cultural setting.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

I was so happy to find an authentic food from the Himalayas region, with lovely staff, reasonable prices, and culturally rich ambiance. So nice to be able to find a pleasant and peaceful setting in busy Bangkok. Im a regular and think its a great place to take friends visiting from overseas.

“Good tasty food at good prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

We have eaten at this little restaurant several times since we moved into the area a few months ago. It was a good find.
The menu has an interesting and varied selection of dishes with good fresh flavours. The staff are pleasant and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable.
We will probably be regular visitors.

“Average Nepalese Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Went there for a meal the other night upon a friend’s recommendation. Having grown up partly in Nepal believe me, I know the culinary spectrum well. While this offers an option to taste Nepali food outside of Nepal for those jonesing for some, it is not as authentic as I would have liked. The "momo" we ordered was so so. Since they also claim to have Indian food we ordered naan - but what we got was skinny "sweet buttered roti". There’s a huge difference between clay oven baked thick fluffy naan and flat pressed tortilla cooked on a flat pan, you see. Getting there is little tricky – we entered through the Himalaya Residence Gate – with couple of stray dogs guarding the door. A guy washing the patio opened the door and let us in the compound while . Little intimidating. To be brutally honest, it’s a residence first. Restaurant is thrown there as an afterthought for people who live there to dine-in it seems. Since the prices are not super pricey I guess you could go and sample few Nepali dishes. But for authentic Indian curry dishes there are tons others in BKK.

“Cute”

Very cute little family-run restaurant with authentic Himalaya atmosphere, tucked away toward the end of Sukhumvit soi 31, about 1 km from Sukhumvit Road. Lamb curry was superb and cheap.
