“Must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Highlight of Bangkok, the complex is so beautiful-bring a camera. Expensive (500BHT) but worth the money as the ticket includes the grand palace. I absolutely loved this!

“You've seen one Buddah,”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

You've seen them all. However, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep in Chang Mai is much more impressive. Admission to Wat Phra Kaeo is surprisingly expensive. The sight is crawling with tourists.

“BANGKOK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

While in Bagkok it is a must visit location. The guides give proper details of the place. It is crowded most of the time but it has charm one will remember for many years. One day is not enough to cover all the areas

“Serenity in Grandeur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

I know it sound conflicting but believe me, this is the truth. The temple is a royal temple inside the Grand Palace complex. I believe it was the temple where the King of Siam used to pray. So obviously it is grand. At the same time, the statue of Buddha has a serene gaze and the temple has a very peaceful and calm atmosphere - as if time has slowed down - thanks in part to a prohibition on photography inside the temple - so no flashes to disturb you.

Outside the temple, you can buy the candles, lotus flowers, incense sticks and gold foil to offer to the Buddha if you are religious. If not, well still worth a visit.
