Located within the grounds next to the Grand Palace. Many devout Buddhist will make this pilgrimage to this Buddhist icon. Tho not made of emerald but of jade and only 2 feet tall, it is housed in an immense hall. Please respect the prayers of the many Buddhist praying here and not converse inside the building. No pictures of the Emerald Buddha should be taken even from the outside through an open window. Single flowers may be purchased or a full pot in an adjoining building (100/300 baht). If you purchase the full pot, a guard will escort to the front of the praying area in the hall. But be aware of the eiquette if you do....Do Not point your feet at the Buddha or any Buddha image or of any person. Place your feet behind you as you kneel or squat. Also bring an umbrella for the sweltering Bangkok sun when touring the outside grounds, it will save you! A must stop in Any Bangkok visit.
