“Nice place - but you get get the same for cheaper”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2011

We really enjoyed our stay at the Zenith. The rooms are big and clean. The pool is great and usually not many people up there.

There are A LOT of Arabs staying there.. Definitely a majority. As Canadians that don't cover our bodies up they did stare at us a lot.

The pool staff were great.. we had some guests come us with us and all they asked is that we buy a couple drinks.

It was a nice hotel.. but when we went to visit my dad at The Royal Benja across the block his room was just as nice but half the price.. so we stayed there when we returned to Bangkok.

Room Tip: clean, bright, spacious rooms but not the best value

I stayed a few nights at the Zenith Hotel Bangkok. It's quite a modern hotel and the reception is the only part at street level then you have to climb a staicase to the lifts to access the floors to get to your rooms.
The rooms were not big but clean and tidy with safe and mini bar included this hotel is across the road from the famous nightlife area of Nana Plaza Sukumvit Road but I am not sure about this hotel's rules on bringing outside visitors to your room.
The one thing that I did notice was that outside and opposite this hotel there was a very large number of Arabian looking people but I was not sure why naybe they like this part of Bangkok?.
The breakfast was okay and the bed comfy and clean not sure if I would stay here again with so many other choices in Bangkok.

Sorry to report that this Hotel was expensive for what was offered and it probably should be rated at a 3 Star if lucky. Maybe even a 2.5.

Firstly it is on a very busy main road, the decor is old and aged, the towels were frayed, the room was noisy and not inviting. There was no wireless internet in the room only ADSL connection and it did not work, so the complimentary 30 mins was invalid. They seemed to really skimp on everything as well, which was disappointing considering I had paid a premium price for the room considering all things.

The hot water was luke warm at the best, and drilling was going on in the Hotel.

Everything seemed dark and dingy, but the staff were very polite and friendly and this was really the only positive thing I can say and no way near enough to get me to go near the place again.

Room Tip: Request a quiet room

The most wonderful aspect of Thailand is the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately the Zenith staff were the opposite from what we have experienced in our travels.

We thought that perhaps our 1st day was merely an off day for them, however not so! They were like this for the duration.

We asked for a non smokers room and as soon as we came out our room it was like a smoking room, absolutely stinking.

The room itself was quite nice therefore no complaints here and tidy.

Location wise, it is next to the rail link so you can get to places with relative ease.

The pool area needs a bit of a face lift. The jacuzzi was covered in scum and slippery. The pool bar was as basic as it could possibly be.

I would recommend this hotel as it floats between a 2 and a 3 star and We feel that there are better choices in this area.
