Returned for a two night stay to Bangkok. Feels good to be back to this hotel and to Bangkok. Truly enjoyed my stay again here. Everyone is very accommodating and helpful. Will be back next year and for sure back to emporium suites.

Warm and friendly staff and willing to help. During our 4 days we have felt like home. Rooms are very spacious and well furnished. We love the pool with its rattan loungers, very comfortable to relax in. The lobby lounge could be bigger and has no real privacy if u wish to have quiet conversation. There is only one restaurant however giving the fact that the hotel is connected to a upscale shopping mall it would properly not make sense to have more outlets. But check out the view stunning. The german manager whom we met at the pool was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the place. Guess having a farang does make a difference still. Overall we had a fantastic stay.

The hotel is ideally located direct on sukhumvit with straight access to Phrom Phong BTS station and the emporium shopping mall. The staff was very accommodating and very helpful giving us excellent recommendations for sightseeing tours and dining tips. The pool is quiet big and surrounded by an lush tropical garden. The nice big sofas are ideal and very comfortable to relax in. Breakfast buffet could have had a bigger variety of pastries but overall it was good. It was nice to have met the general manager who was going around each morning to seek feedback and opinions of his guests, it gave us a feeling of being listen too and good to see this kind of management these days. The rooms are large in size and have all the tools and gadgets you need for a holiday trip in a city like bangkok.

Stayed 4 nights for the first time in the studio deluxe room. It was a big room for a single guest. Everything was good, we have been given a complimentary meeting room to use for two days since they are renovating their business centre.
Surprise by the numbers of Japanese guest staying there. Location is good; adjacent to the Emporium Mall and link to the Prom Phong BTS station.

I checked in at 6pm, settling in when and the manager knocked on the door, but before i even finished saying "someone's here' she used her key card and open it, i was changing so i rushed to the door to stop her. There i was, half naked saying sawadikap.

Next day, woke up at 10am and went to the bathroom to do my morning ritual before going out for work. I was trying to flush the toilet but no water was coming out. Ohhh, so that explains the pipe banging I was hearing when I was doing my business. They are fixing the pipes... I called the reception and they told me they left a note on my bedside table about the scheduled 10am-2pm pipe fixing. But there wasn't any note! Only when I was checking out that one of the staff told me that they mixed up the dates and forgot to leave a note. Sigh.

Room tip: To choose a good room, go to another hotel.

As mentioned by others, location is great with easy access to skytrains, rooms are big and comfortable, lovely views and good breakfasts.

Negatives were slightly dated furnishing, old and worn out bathtowels, poor TV reception for some channels, staff who lacked warmth (esp front desk and doormen) and having to pay 500 bahts (>US$15) for internet access.

For the price I paid, I could have got better hotels in similar 4-star range in Sukhumvit that also have easy access to skytrain (although centred around Asoke). These include:
1. Grand Centrepoint Terminal 21 (very new hotel connected to Terminal 21 mall)-nice vibe
2. Grand Millenium Sukhumvit-lovely hotel
3. Westin and Sheraton Grande-established Starwood hotels with good service (though slightly more expensive)

With such tough competition for hotel guests in Bangkok, Emporium Suites will need to
improve their service significantly for me to return!
