We stayed at this hotel before leaving on a G Adventures tour. The fact that this hotel is a starting point for tours is probably why this hotel isn't particularily great as they don't seem to be overly fussed in service.
The check in was fine, but once in the rooms it changes. The rooms are tired and in desperate need of a lick of paint. The bathroom looked shabby and teh shower in our room didn't work.
We had a room on the 3rd floor on the Saturday night, and not sure if the music/singing came from the hotel or elsewhere, but it was shockingly awful and loud and went on til 2am
The restaurant for breakfast operated on a ticket system, and the choices were a bit bland.
As part of a tour it's fine for a nights sleep, but I wouldn't choose to stay there.
