standard room a disgrace they should be ashamed to put people in there dirty stained carpets worn furniture ants everywhere air con noisy and useless upgraded to ex room much better although still ants everywhere even on 43rd floor in breakfast area ants crawling over bread had to pay to upgrade but couldnt stay in first room location great another annoying factor was rooms are advertised as having balcony but doors to balcony are locked and sign on them says its law to keep doors locked whats the point in having balcony if you cant go on it.

“If you want good accommodation with shopping streets and malls just at your door step, Baiyoke Suite is the place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2010

#> Room - I was at the Executive suite. The room was very spacious and clean. You get everything you should get for 2500 TBH a night :=P

#> Location - Excellent. 5 star for this. As soon as you step out of the hotel you get the Pratunam shopping streets with everything and anything you need from clothes to souvenirs to fashion accessories to food. If you step out during night, it's a completely different experience with different street shops where you can buy stuff for a very cheap price and bargain till you get your deal.
Walking about 5 mins to the right of Baiyoke Suite you will get to the Pratunal Fashion mall and few mins to its right, the Pantip Plaza, the crazy Computer City.

If you want to shop for some designer brands, take a taxi meter (~70 BHT) and go to the Siam Paragon. My favority mall in BKK. Dont forget to visit the Ocean world in the basement and the IMAX in the 5th flr.

Need some bargain deals but at a decent shopping mall? Visit the MBK just few mins to the left from Siam Paragon.

#> Food - Package included daily breakfast buffet. This was simply superb. Dont forget to try out the sea food dinner buffet. You get 35% off and very good food.

#> Pool - Very nice out door pool. Heavenly after a long day of shopping in the streets.

#> Service - Very good. Very friendly staff from the receptionist to cleaning staff to the bell boy. You get a very good tourist information desk at the lobby (5th flr) where you get some decent packages to the places you want to visit.

#> Spa and massage - A must try. Especially the fish spa.

“Refurbished rooms have improved this hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2010

We stayed for two nights over New Year as the price didn't increase for New Years eve and also there was no expensive compulsory dinner to pay for. We had an executive suite with a big living room and bedroom with king bed and a TV in each room. It was a corner room on the 36th floor so the views were fantastic to watch the fireworks around the city. We had stayed a year ago and the suites have certainly improved since then. The old carpets and unuseable kitchens have gone. The living rooms now have timber floors and new comfy chairs and couches, much more modern and clean. The aircon worked fine and the bathrooms still need updating but nothing was broken. This hotel is a good cheap choice if you want room to spread out. The breakfast on the top floor is very good, lots of choice and the pool area is fine. Our luggage did get lost between reception and our room but it finally arrived after a few phone calls. The doors to the balconies are supposed to be locked and you aren't supposed to go out there. If you are travelling with children make sure as our door wasn't locked and it would be easy for an accident to happen. The hotel is in a great spot for shopping, right near the Pratanum market and there are also stalls in the street every night and lots of cheap places to eat in the back streets. It's much cheaper than the Baiyoke Sky but the views are just as good.
