With constant refurbishments and improvements in all aspects, one of my preferred venues in Bangkok especially for Food & Beverage got even better now. Had also a fabulous dinner experience again and this time I had invited a group of my staff. All were obviously very impressed too. It is also nice touch for Executive Chef and his assistant as well as F&B director to drop in for a courtesy chat during the dinner and I very much look forward to staying in this hotel whenever I will be in Bangkok again. Highly recommended.

I stayed 4 nights at the hotel. The service was impeccable, friendly & efficient. The room had a great view & lovely balcony over looking the river. We expected an excellent hotel, but the hotel exceeded expectations. The room & bathroom were very well equipped with everything we needed, from chilled water, fresh fruit, complimentary soft drinks & cookies.

We stayed at this hotel for our first short stay during our honeymoon. We spend three nights in this hotel and we absolutely loved it.
We were worried about finding a nice hotel in Bangkok. We are pretty demanding in terms of hotel cleanliness and luxury.
We were very pleased at this hotel. We stayed in the regular view with river view. Enjoyed the room.
Clean room, good sized and clean bathroom.
The pool is great, a perfect escape for hectic Bangkok.
The boat service is actually nice to visit another part of the city we would go to alone.
The hotel location is good, in tuk tuk you get there very easily and comfortably.

Overall it's a great hotel.
Next time we come to Bangkok we are surely going to stay there.

A great hotel, in a great location. We stayed in a balcony room which was fantastic for watching river life go by. Really well appointed room, nicely decorated, decent wifi. A great panoramic bathroom with good facilities. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, really good selection. Spending a week in Bangkok, the pool area was probably the biggest draw. Never busy, plenty of space and the pool guys were awesome, Friendly, attentive and amusing. The pool itself is beautiful, and you can laze right on the river and watch the world go by. Having stayed at the Peninsula, Banyan Tree, Hansar, Muse, Plaza Athenee, etc. etc, the Shangri La definitely holds its own in a city of deluxe hotels. Top marks for a top stay.

I can't recommend this place enough, our stay there in February 2013 was fantastic. We were there for four nights and we managed to find ourselves a deal to make use of the Horizon Club. If you're going to stay at a Shangri-La anywhere, do check out the benefits this club offers. From the inclusive breakfasts to the happy hour cocktails up on one of the top floors, the view from here is fantastic, you will not regret spending the extra money and receive value for money. The hotel is clean and well laid out, the staff are extremely helpful and they will go out of their way to help you. The hotel is well connected, being close to a river boat wharf on the Chao Phraya river and close to the train station as well. The hardest part is forcing yourself outside of the hotel to enjoy Bangkok itself.

Room Tip: Find a deal to make use of the Horizon Club here, you won't regret it.

We stayed at the Shangri-La with another couple for 4 nights in January 2013. We stayed in the Krungthep wing and felt totally indulged from the moment we arrived. We each had a corner suite that had wonderful views up and down the river, which provided fascinating entertainment all day. The rooms were amazing, well-appointed, clean and luxurious. Fresh fruit, water, welcome drinks and a birthday cake for one of our party were all included. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful and all airport transfers and tour pick-ups were seamlessly organised. The breakfasts were substantial and covered all western and eastern tastes. Then there were the drinks and canapés each evening! We didn't need dinner the first 2 nights as we had plenty to eat as we enjoyed the ambience and outstanding views and service. We would DEFINITELY return to the Shangri-La and have raved about it to others.

Room Tip: The Krungthep Wing is well worth it!!
