“Great location, great service, pool & all the mod cons”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2009

Walked into the hotel lobby and straight away you know that the hotel will be just right. The staff on reception were very friendly - having already booked our room on www.asiarooms.com for a good rate of £60 inc B&B.

The room was very good, bath, showever, double bed, tv (cable), mini bar, tea/cofee making, hairdryer, etc.. We stayed on floor 7. You even have a box by the bed to control the lights, tv and sign outsdide the room for 'do not disturd' or 'make up room'. Bed very comfy and lovely white sheets.

We ate in the mexican restaurant - expensive bu the food was excellent, the staff excellent and the band excellent. What more can i say.

We ate in the Thai restaurant on the last night and this was to die for. Poorly signedposted to find, but basically go through the underground carpark and out the other side and the restaurant is there. Food excellent, staff excellent, value for money in here!!! Go to the bar just past it on the right and for a quick drink before hand and before you know it there will be an elephant prodding you in the back for attention. I swear down... a real life elephant in the middle of Bangkok.

The hotel is on Sukhumvit Soi 18. To go to all the attractions - turn right out of the hotel, go to the end of the street and walk for 5 mins and the sky train is there ready to take you to Siam Siam (expensive shopping), MBK (cheap bargin shopping - i bought 2 Brietling watches for not alot!), Patpong Market (friday night). Sky Train 25 baht one way (50p).

Get a taxi to the Grand Palace - ask for meter, never negotiate price as the meter is always cheaper. We paid 91 baht. Get the driver to drop you on Na Phra Lan Road at the entrance. IGNORE anyone who tells you it's shut...it's not. Wear long trousers and a short sleeved top - men and women to avoid being rude to their religion.

Oh... back to the hotel.. there's a free pool on the 4th floor but the Spa is extra. NIce size pool and lots of space and beds round it at no extra cost!

Great hotel, great staff, great food, BRILLIANT location.....some food and drink can be expensive. Breakfast very good - try the banana cake!!!

We stayed at the Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok in Mid February 2009 where my father visited Thailand thus it was important to us that Thai hospitality, the hotel's services and the facilities where perfect - we were once again not disappointed.

The staff was very friendly with lots of smiles. The check-in was efficient and courteous. The room we stayed was newly renovated (19th floor) and had all its comfort, services and amenities you will need for an exciting stay in Bangkok. The room was properly cleaned by the staff and the little nice gift in the evening was much appreciated.
Breakfast in the mornings was delicious, staff attentative and always happy for a little chat. We got good recommendations from the reception when needing some information about sightseeing too, which was very helpful. They even had a little "tuk tuk" (kinda golf caddy like vehicle) which brings you for free to the skytrain.

All over a great stay at the perfect place with friendly and courteous Thai hospitality. We will surely come back next time.

The Rembrandt is a nice place to stay at if you're in Bangkok. The hotel is modern and the rooms are nice and tidy. Breakfast buffet is great here. It's very close to the sky train and the Sukhumvit area is central and a good starting point for sight-seeing. The staff could be a little friendlier, they are trying to hard to be a fancy hotel.

I stayed at the Rembrandt, on the Executive Floor, for five days - 3 days business, 2 days with the partner. From the arrival in the lobby, all the way through check-in in the Executive lounge, was perfect. They remembered all the gadgets I needed in my room to have a successful preparation for my meetings.
The breakfast is served on the lounge level - very quiet and a good surrounding to get the day started.
You are very close to the Sky-train system - a 5 minute walk and you are hooked up the main strip that gets you to the central points in Bangkok in a jiff.
Will definitely be back.

My review on TripAdvisor is long overdue, because I stayed at this fantastic hotel six times last year (and again just a couple of weeks ago) and the staff and management really deserve to be credited. I extend my deepest appreciation and congratulate the Rembrandt Hotel staff and management for ALWAYS making sure that I have the best stay possible. I have traveled all over the world and the service I get at the Rembrandt is definitely comparable (if not better!) with some of the big five-star hotels in New York, London and Hong Kong.

I usually book the Executive Floor, and the moment I enter the hotel lobby and get escorted to the private check in on the 24th floor by a friendly staff member, I know I am about to experience yet another incredible stay. The private check in is always done in a very friendly and efficient manner. My request for one of the corner rooms always gets honored and the staff really shows flexibility and willingness to assist. The rooms are great, comfortable and very functional. As for amenities, there is really nothing missing - they have thought of everything and paid a lot of attention to detail. The Rembrandt rooms have a particularly fresh smell, are very well aired and perfectly clean. The beds are very, very comfortable. I haven't tried the restaurants (though I hear they are very good), but I order room service regularly and the food quality is excellent! The hotel also has a very nice pool.

As for the location: Everything is at your doorstep. I like exploring the area and the hotel provides easy access to everything. There are several nice restaurants and coffee shops in the area as well as a 24-hour convenience store right across the street (+ a Seven Eleven shop nearby).

A fantastic choice, with a great product, incredibly friendly and good service. Excellent value-for-money.

You know a hotel is great when you as a guest almost feel guilty for the amount of smiles and the warm and personal service you get.

Highly recommendable!

  • Liked — The Executive Rooms (and of course the good service)
  • Disliked — The fact that they don't let me become a permanent resident of the hotel

This was my first trip to Bangkok. I have been to several of the island destinations in Thailand, so I decided to give Bangkok a try. I must say I loved the city, and the Rembrandt was an excellent choice. A Thai friend recommended the hotel to me, and I was very impressed by the quality of rooms and the service. The hotel does not seem to have cut back on any of the perks like most hotels I stay at nowadays. I would strongly recommend booking on the executive floors, as there are complimentary snacks and cocktails served all day long. You definitely get "bang for your buck" at this hotel.
