“All round good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013 via mobile

I chose the hotel based on the reviews and they were correct. Hotel is in a good location with easy access to Asok where you can jump onto either the BTS or the MRT both of which are clean, cool, quick , efficient and cheap. Don't waste your time or money getting a taxi traffic in this part of town is manic. Most single fares are 25 bhats. Hotel itself is clean and well staffed it does look a little tired and is in need of a refurb but it has everything u need for a short stop over in Bangkok and I would return. Has a large pool with plenty of seating and gets a good dose of sun in the afternoons. Breakfast is plentiful and everything you can think of to choose from. Bar has happy hour between 5-7 service in there is excellent.

Just stayed at the hotel for 4 nights on business on the executive club floor in room 2501. Room is a bit dated but the spaciousness of the room, view, cleanliness, comfortable bed and free internet more than made up for the age of the room. Service and staff attitude were superb especially on the Executive Floor. I highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Book an Executive Club Floor room as great value for money. Daily afternoon complimentary canapés an...

My husband & I stayed for 4 nights in April. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice. About a 10 minute walk to the sky train. Staff friendly & helpful. The pool was lovely after busy days sight seeing. Several good places to eat in the same road as the hotel.

We visited this property in Oct '12 and stayed for 3 nights.. The best thing that strikes you when you enter is the Lobby which is such a comfortable place to hangout.. The breakfast was quite a bit crowded and not much to write home about in the veg section on the first 3 days but it was very good on the last day of our stay... Very close proximity to the BTS station (Asoke) and easy access to Siam mall, Terminal 21 and MBK Mall all on the Sky train.. The restaurant on the top floor "Rang Mahal" has the best North Indian food and so fresh and it promises the most lovely views of Bangkok, however you need to reserve in advance to get a good view.. Also its a bit pricey as well.. Overall we were quite happy with our stay here the rooms were neat, the bathrooms were clean and food was good as well.. The tuk-tuk operated on all the days we were there so it was v.convenient...

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us here at the Rembrandt Hotel during your recent trip to Bangkok and for taking the time to post your feedback. During your visit in October, we were in the process of renovating our 1st floor dining outlets, which includes our breakfast. We have since completed the work to rave reviews and hope you have the opportunity to come back to see the work that was done. Thanks again and hope to see you back soon.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

I just came back from a 2 nights stay at Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok. I was quite disappointed... Of course I have booked "just" a standard room, but also this room had his price... It was located on 8th floor and this was okay. But the quite small room was really dated... there was a new flat screen tv, there was a new working desk... but the furniture was quite old. You can see the age of theme very clear. But the worst thing was this old carpet. Bathroom was okay and clean.

Breakfast was okay from quality but it was just overcrowded there... Although breakfast time is from 6am to 11 am the breakfast room was extremely full with people. They opened then after 5 minutes waiting the mexican restaurant beside for customer wich was okay, but unfortunatly it had there at this time a felt temperature of maybe 18 degrees and was much to cold for a comfortable breakfast. Why do they not open more rooms from begin?

Not all of staff seems to be happy with doing their job... There were very polite and happy people (espacially at hotel bar on ground floor), but at reception and at the door they often looked bored and without any smile. I can not say that I felt really welcome at this place and I will definitely not come back.

Dear bannasanuan:

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us here at the Rembrandt Hotel during your recent trip to Bangkok and for taking the time to post your feedback. We are very disappointed to read that we failed to meet your expectations during your stay. Our breakfast has become one of our key selling advantages and only wish that we were able to illustrate this to you. In addition, we are in the process of updating all of our rooms with new furniture, carpets and much more. We sincerely hope you may return to see why we are considered one of the best hotels in Bangkok in our class.

Stayed 3 nights B&B at The Rembrandt Hotel which was an excellent choice. Whilst the rooms are a bit tired they are still very accomodating and the breakfast was excellent. The lobby was great and staff very friendly and helpful. Pool is a great bonus with good restaurant facilities. Close to Asoke station and BTS and Metro lines (5-10 mins walk) to enable you to get to all major sites/attractions. Terminal 21 shopping mall at Asoke as well. Family Mart and 7/11 convenience stores on door step. Cost 700 baht to get from airiport via large public taxi (4 adults and luggage). Return cost 800 baht - agree fixed price beforehand. Average skytrain ticket 25-35 baht per person for a single trip. Day ticket 180 baht. Recommend you visit the temples - Grand Palace (where men should wear long trousers and women were unable to gain access to certain parts if wore trousers), Wot Pho and Golden Buddha. Also Jim Thompson House a good attraction. Siam Paragon shopping centre close by (access via BTS National Stadium) and JT House worth a visit - food court brilliant. Would recommend The Rembrandt for stay in Bangkok.
