We have stayed for 2 nights on 4 ocasions when passing through Bangkok.
Acessible to city by nearby skytrain with 1 stop so very convenient but out of the ratrace. Quicker transfer from airport than central hotels
Great foyer , excellent food,large quiet well equipped rooms,& very helpful staff. Pool & gym good. Hotel has a pleasant ambience & at no time have we experienced tourist groups & it does not have the feel of such. We would always use it for short stays & concierge particularly obliging with advice & luggage storage. We introduced an Asian business friend to hotel & he has changed his allegiance to Siam City

Stayed for 3 nights at Siam City Hotel in June 2006 with my partner in a Deluxe Room.

The hotel is in a good position - 2 skytrain stops from Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon, MBK shopping centres etc.

The room it self was nice, good size, nothing outstanding however.

The bathroom was not that great, not that flash. Shower over bath that didn't seem to work properly.

Small but nice pool area, which was fine as we were there for shopping not sunning.

I have to say if you are deciding between Siam City & Pathumwan Princess - Go for the Pathumwan - its excellent.

We stayed 2 nights at the Siam City and found everthing there to be 5 star at less than 5 star prices. Starting with a well appointed and clean room on the 15 floor, with a great view of central Bangkok.
The staff was extremly helpful and friendly. The outdoor pool on the 6 floor was marvelous. We ate at both the Thai and Italian restaurants at the hotel and found them to both be first class. The hotel location makes it easy to get to the BST and the express way to the airport. All this said we will definitly stay here again on our next trip to Bangkok next year.

Great hotel very welcoming and relaxing although it is in the city. Very handy for the sky train and an easy taxi ride to the night bizzar
My son who is 14yrs old also enjoyed his time there good leisure facilities. All the staff were great and very helpful.

Would head there again when visiting bangkok again.
