“Improved rooms but breakfast is lousy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I stayed at this hotel from 29 oct till 3 nov 2012. Stayed stayed at level 15 and had a great view of central world. The room was clean and bed was comfy. However the breakfast which came free has quality that was really bad. The porridge , fried rice and fried noodles didn't have meat in them. Only plain fried and plain porridge. The ham and sausages were tasteless. The next day we rather go out and eat breakfast somewhere else. They have a little cafe outside of the hotel. It is very cosy but the cakes and the pastries were not delicious at all. It's such a waste because the cafe is such a nice place to relax in. Lastly the gym really needs a major revamp. It has such a negative vibe to it that I did not work out a single time. Location is great though.

Usually i wont bother to write reviews on hotels we stayed but for for Arnoma,i just HAD to. We were recommended by a friend to stay here . After hearing the good reviews,we decided to book for 6 nights from 13-19 Sept 2012. Praweena from reservation department made my booking easy and ensured we got the type of room we wanted. Many thanks to her.

Boy,i must say we were glad we chosed to stay here.Location is perfect, near to all the major shopping malls. The hotel itself is quite decent, lobby is spacious and it has classic comforts with modern luxury. There was always a staff holding the elevator at the lobby for us.The rooms are rather outdated and there is no free wi-fi but that didn't trouble us at all. It would be better though if they decide to refurbish the rooms and provide free wi-fi. Breakfast in the hotel was good, had a lot of choice from Western to Asian. I love their cheese mushroom omelet. They served bacon daily too. We had Thai buffet dinner one of the nights at the restaurant and it was great food. Really enjoyed it. We thought it was actually cheaper to dine at the hotel than some of the Thai restaurants in town.

I have traveled around to many places and stayed at different hotels, ranging from 5 to 3 star hotels but i must say Arnoma is the first hotel that has touched my heart. The staff really made me feel welcomed. I guess, a sincere welcome reaches out and positively pulls guests in to them. The concierge /bellboy had been a delight. They are always willing to help us with anything, with a smile. Thanks guys ! :)

One of the nights when we were there,(17th Sept), we ordered room service for dinner because my fiancee wasn't feeling too well that night. He was having fever..The room service guy took note of my fiancee's condition and arranged an extra blanket to be delivered to our room. How sweet is that?

Overall, i was quite satisfied with the hotel and looking forward to staying there again in future. The GM surely did a great job in training the staff. One word to describe the service, Excellent. Thumbs up,Arnoma!

Regards,

Francesca Santiago

Arnoma Hotel in Bangkok has a very convenient location. Across the hotel is the Big C Mall which houses many boutiques, restaurants and stores. Pratunam market is situated just beside the hotel.Though old, the rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet service at Arnoma Restaurant are fast and efficient with sufficient food to choose from. It is still the place to stay in Bangkok if you want to shop and conscious of your budget. It is worth recommending.

Room Tip: Rooms at higher level have better views.

The hotel is a bit dated but still ok. Its very cheap and Rooms are big and clean. Value for money if you are on a tight budget. The location is very close to all the major shopping centres especially Central World which is just in front of the hotel. Very very convenient location.

Note: one of the best "chicken rice" place in bangkok is near this hotel.

Stayed in this hotel last Sep 13-16 during a holiday in Bangkok. My wife was able to stay here before with friends and recommended that we stay here also. We booked through agoda.com and enjoyed favorable rates.

This is an old but decent hotel that had a fantastic location! It was across the street from Central World Mall, right next to Gaysorn Mall and a short walk to Fashion Mall (not that it was important to a guy like me). It was also next to a Big C Supermarket, so easy to do errands. It was also a quick walk to the Chit Lom BTS station, where we boarded trains to see the rest of the city.

The hotel lobby is always full of people coming in and out given that its price point targets the mainstream tourist market. But it doesn't feel unpleasant at all. The hotel staff are helpful, and will happily keep bags, provide directions and travel advice.

The lobby is also old but well-maintained. The elevators were efficient. No complaints.

One good thing about old hotels is that they have plenty of space. The hallway and elevator lobby of our floor were wide and spacious, which made us feel really welcomed into the floor compared to today's cramped boutique hotels.

The room was also spacious enough. Admittedly, it was a bit old, but was clean and well-maintained. This hotel still used the old type keycards with the holes. The bed was good. The sheets, pillows and blankets were all good. The furniture were a bit old, TV was old but functional. There was a central switch console on the side table next to the bed. It was also old but still functioned well. The bathroom was decent, had old fixtures, and the shower provided strong water pressure.

We tried the Buttercup Cafe for some Thai dishes on our last night. It was excellent! We had a very satisfying meal.

All in all, for the price we paid, we had a satisfying stay in this hotel. It is a bit old but the facilities, service and food were all there and just worked. I would stay here again on my next trip to Bangkok, which I am sure to do!

it is a avarage 3 stars hotel which is getting old and dated and in need for a major facelift.
the bright sides are that the staff are nice and welcoming and the location is one of the best in Bangkok if you aim for shoping.
Big C just near and center worls opposite.
are markets like Partunam and many other shopping malls are also within few minutes walk

The hotel has a great location & great reception & bell boys. But the hotel have no WIFI. You have to buy the expensive wifi and which you can only use at the lobby only.
The room seems to be run down.
The good thing is it is beside BIG shopping centre so you can get all you foods nearby and Isetan(oposite)
Breakfast was bad. Not much choice & food was just so so. If you wake up late you have to queue. They have more rooms than seats for breakfast.
