I stayed at this sophisticated and dignified hotel with my husband and three daughters in July 2007. It is a very posh hotel established on Soi 23 of Sukhumvit Road, right next to the infamous Soi Cowboy. It was 5 minutes walk away from the Sukhmvit station of the underground transport, if you take the shortcut. All said and done the hotel is a little far from all the main tourist attractions and the shopping scene of Pratunum Road.
The rooms were extremely spacious, the beds clean and comfortable and the pool was very relaxing. The management provided us an extra cot bed for our third daughter.
The restaurant served wholesome complimentary continental buffet breakfast. The Thai buffet lunch was also very delicious. The kids loved their a la carte’ menus fish and chips.
The staff was extremely cooperative. They were ready to give substantial discounts on internet booking. The lady at the reception helped us in deciphering the city routes and arranged transport for us whenever needed. The concierge’ helped us in storing our luggage when we traveled out of Bangkok.

i came with my friend stayed just 4 nights and found thai pan one of the most fantastic hotel i have ever found in my life top rate,excellent hospitality ,marvellous location, wonderful atmosphere,great breakfast,beloved staff plus point is free wifi internet unlimited superb pool and gym as well i highly recommended it.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights recently and enjoyed our stay very much.

All staff were very good and helpful. Location is great - close to BTS which is a great way to see the city. Close also to strip joints in Soi Cowboy if that is your thing.

We had breakfast here nearly every morning - very good quality and lots of variety, didn't eat at night here but there are some very good restaurants close by.

Rooms were a good size for Asia.

Pool was a great temperature and very well maintained.

Overall very good value for money and well located to see the sights of Bangkok.

We spent a week at the Tai-Pan using it as our head quarters for sight seeing trips around the city. It is with a couple of blocks of the Sky Train and the Metro Subway thus covering most of the city. If you are into the night life, it is a block from the partying "Cowboy Street." Yet, it is very safe to walk at night and there are many restaurants and some discos in the area and happenings in the local parks.

Great buffet breakfast, great service in the restaurant, and all staff very helpful.
