We booked this hotel as as 1st and last night treat, between which we travelled around Asia for a few weeks. And were we glad!

After a long and stressful trip, first arrriving at Dream (after being royally ripped off by a meter taxi - this happened a lot!) it felt like heaven!

Staff were absolutely exceptional and very very helpful. Room was very very clean and comfortable with lovely "extras" such as a bowl of fresh apples, fresh made biscuits with the turn down service. We found the toiletries to be very good quality too with free bottles of drinking water supplied daily. I personally found the bed to be extremely comfortable. Breakfast was included with our room (book on Hotels.com for around £70 a night - i'm positive this isn't as cheap as it gets) and was delicious. If not included in your room price, however, I would give it a miss unless money is no object. 600baht for a very large breakfast which could include juice, tea/coffee/fresh fruit, omelettes, noodles, all sorts. The spa is also very expensive compared to others in the area.

On returning after 3 weeks, the staff remembered us and greeted us like old friends. Out on Sukhumvit, it is very much hustle and bustle but Dream does feel like an Oasis. I would definitely book dream for any future stays in Bangkok.

Perfection from the moment we arrived! Staff were really nice in a frendly kind of way and gave us great tips of good restaurants. The room was small but really really nice and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to a party and the same for the restaurant, but the staff managed to get food up to our room anyway and we are glad we tried it. Expensive but extremely nice food!!! We highly recommend this place to everyone who wishes to sleep like a king (or queen) in a good central place in Bangkok.

“Highly recommandable hotel in Bangkok”

This is one of the best hotels I've been in Bangkok. Very convenient position (next to a Skytrain stop and the underground), in Suukhumvit, a lively and pleasant area of Bangkok.

Staff extremely friendly and welcoming, very nice and clean rooms that are a sort of "oasis" in the middle of chaotic Bangkok. The style of the hotel is particular but pleasant, rooms are modern and well equipped - comfortable beds, high speed wireless connection, well working air conditioning. I liked very much the blue lighting that gives a nice atmosphere.

It was really pleasant getting back to the hotel room after a day browsing around.

I will for sure choose again this hotel for my next trip to Bangkok.

I booked this place through their website for deluxe room for 92$/per night which was a great deal.

The room was very large and quiet clean . But its layout was not that nice and the bed was hard so I did not feel comfortable at all.
The location of the hotel was good, close to Sukhumvit Road and just few blocks to the Dky train.

For the price this is a good choice overall.

General:

I booked this hotel after reading reviews here on Tripadvisor. I was pleasantly surprised as this hotel is fantastic. We stayed in the junior suite room which was really spacious. We were there for 5 days in late May.

Location:

I found the location to be very convenient. I would recommend to quickly learn the BTS (skytrain)/MRT mass transit systems so your reliance on tuk tuks and taxis are minimal. The hotel is located on a small side street off of Sukumvit (Soi 15). It is in the middle between two BTS stops (Nana and Asok). We usually walked down tot he Nana station. There are a lot of restaurants and shops very close to the hotel on Sukumvit.

Room:

There were two big LCD TV's in the room, one in the bedroom the other in the living room. There was a DVD player in the room as well, didn't watch anything on it though as we were out of the room most of the time. The room itself was very well kept and clean. My only complaint would be that the bed was a little too on the firm side as most beds in Asia are. It certainly wasn't to the point where it was uncomfortable. The housekeeping service was very good and never breached the "do not disturb" status of my room.

Staff:

The front desk staff was very courteous, helpful and professional.

The bell boys have a walkie to summon taxis for you if needed.

Hotel amenities:

The hotel has a tour desk located at Dream 2 across the street from the original Dream. The tour desk can arrange private tours giving discounts on the number of people in your party. I took a tour to Ayutthaya via this tour desk, a bit pricey but I felt comfortable I would have a safe and pleasant experience which we did. It was 6400 baht for the two of us. A full day tour to Ayutthaya and the summer palace with thai buffet lunch.

The hotel has a Gym on the 10th floor, I didn't use it but I know they had one.

Tips:

Make sure you bring you key card folder with you with the address and map on the back as many taxi drivers didn't seem to know where this hotel was.

During rainy season some unscrupulous taxi drivers will try to jack up the fair. After I found this out I just waited out the rain and found a taxi after. The rains were almost daily but they were very short lived.

The taxi to/from the airport should be at most 250 baht including the 25 baht for the highway toll. The taxi driver I got at the airport to Dream charged me 600 baht. I found it best to insist on meter usage.
