“Interesting, it's like tacky, with "glory" it never had.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2010

They try to differentiate by catering to a VIP client and don't achieve it, they have a VIP check in and breakfast restaurant on the 28th floor. Problem is I had to wait more than 20 minutes for my room to be ready. The VIP lounge was not very refined at all. The rooms which was a suite is like, well your in a suite so that's cool, but it is tacky. The shower was would always leak all over the floor no matter the extent of the engineering efforts and precautions.

I must say that the staff was okay, can't really complain.

Had some custom tailored suits and shirts done in Windsor Tailors, just in front of the hotel, was a pretty good experience and would probably recommend them, remember to negotiate on the price.

Value for money not sure it is worth it. Next time I go I will probably stay somewhere else.

“Bad management staff / lack of respect”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2010

I was going up to my room with my friend (somebody I have know for a couple of years now)
when the elevator door was jammed open and this night manager/staff screams at me/us: "room number, room number you are solo guest", you must pay to bring friend to room....(What the *#^*I am thinking here)

This staff member was totally oblivious that there were other guests in the elevator.
He demanded me and my guest get out of the elevator and escorted us to the reception desk where he continued verbally insulting me and insisitng that I pay an additional 1000bht, all this from over 10 feet away

My point of contention is the Respect and Discretion for the paying customer...not Hotel policies...had the Staff member taken 1 minute to listen to me...I would not be writing this preview warning other solo travellers about my incident

I have never before been so humiliated and embarrassed in a public area, and infront of other guests.

Please Note...not all the staff were like this particular person

In Addition:
My TV in the bedroom did not work for my entire stay
The cieling in the Bathroom came down....lucky, or maybe unlucky I wasn't sitting on the Tiolet at the time
The Wifi was a little overpriced
The furniture and Carpet looked old and worn out

I have had much nicer stays in other establishments at a 3rd of the cost of this Minister Suite at this Hotel

“So, so hotel - convenient to public transportation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2010

Hotel looks modern, but is a bit dated once you get inside. Had a suite-style room. Functional but not great. Restaurant has a buffet for breakfast, which has got enough different foods for everyone's tastes - western and asian. Dinner is also a buffet with many selections - a bit boring. The surrounding neighborhood is right off the busy Sukhamvit Rd - close to the Skytrain station - with many little restaurants and massage places in the alleys.

“So so good for what you pay!”

I got a twin suite for me and my girl friend for $64 per day. The bedroom and living room where spacy, a bit old though; the bathroom size was excellent. I mean, it cannot get better for the price. The lobby was nice, bit and well kept up, the door man where very attentive AND they have tea time, I love tea time. I got an evening at the spa, it was a very nice spa! it smelled beatutiful and it was very clean and comfortable. Ask for thai herb tea, is to die for!! The breakfast buffet was very nice, I´m vegetarian kind of vegan, I was please with what they have to offer, thai food is soooo good!! Everything is very affordable and like I said for $65 it just doesn´t get better I thing.

I wanted to stay in a bit nicer hotel, but because everything is so cheap, they get book very fast. so I couldnt find anything better. I´d say this hotel really is a 3.5 star hotel, but I give it 5 because of the what you get for the price.

“Dissapointing and noisy.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2009

Stayed here for one night in the Garden Wing, firstly they advertise as an all suites hotel but this was just a normal hotel room (they gave me a twin as it was the only non smoking available) but still ok nice and clean which is what I expected.
The bathroom was ok but the small bath had a rather shabby shower curtain that kept sticking to you when you showered as the space is so small also the frame round the mirror could have used a coat of paint.
The room itself had no electrical sockets for plugging in a charger you needed to unplug the tv or fridge. The aircon control was on the wall fifteen feet away from the bed and it was so cold even when set to 30 degrees that I had to use the covers off the spare bed to stay warm also the lowest fan setting blew like a hurricane.
If your like me and don't even like a clock ticking in the room when sleeping then be awareThe Windsor have a caberet show outside with a live band every night which may make them money but didn't impress me as I tried to sleep for an early start the next morning.
On a positive side the staff were very nice and it's situated in a great area but sorry I've stayed in much better for less and with total peace and quite.
