“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

Just a couple of days before our arrival the hotel sent a mail asking about airport transfer options. Everything was arranged prior to our arrival. When the transportation arrived at the hotel an assistant immediately greeted us and brought us to our rooms. No checkin needed!
Best checkin experience ever!

The rooms were great and refurbished. Our room was located on the 12th floor. Innovative and cool designed rooms. Maybe too innovative sometimes. The lights in the room is controlled via remote control and was a bit annoying... Great shower. Must try to understand.

The lobby was very spacious and were well decorated with trees and stone floors. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The concierge was helpful but a bit slow. I rarely used their advice. Maybe I am picky...

The pool area did not have any sun before 1 pm during December/January. There are two pools: one super cold large pool and one super hot hot tub. The cold one was a pain... They should turn on some heating in the large pool...

During New Year they had a lot of arrangements and there was live music and fun stuff going on. The whole block was shut down and a huge party on the streets outside just steps outside the hotel.

The location is great! There is a skywalk from the hotel to all the shopping centers. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants to choose from.

The breakfast was also really great! Just a marvelous buffet! Great staff!

Just briefly met the hotel manager in the elevator. He introduced himself and asked about our stay. Seamed to be a really great guy and down to earth.

Can really recommend this hotel! If any of the staff at Hyatt reads this you should know you are doing a really great job! Keep it up! Made our visit to Bangkok a breeze! Thank you!

Best Regards

Johan

This must be the Perfect Hotel. It deserves very one of its five stars.
I stayed here for a conference and I cant think of a better venue. The three separate event spaces are excellent. The 'Residence' and the 'Campus' are without peer.
The view from my room on the seventh floor was a delight after a long day of work.
Breakfast: magnificent. Staff highly professional and helpful always with a smile.
I'll stay here again in a heartbeat.

I stayed here in October a couple of years ago on my first trip to Thailand. Of course there was much to see and do, but it was fantastic to have this comfortable refuge to return to at the end of a long day (and sometimes a long night too). From check-in to check-out, I felt like a VIP and the room was spectacular. I think it may have been a suite because it was pretty big and had the most amazing bathroom I've ever had in a hotel.

I really liked the location - right next to the Erawan Shrine and not far away from public transportation. The Grand Club was one of the most impressive concierge clubs I've seen. Beautiful views, they made me breakfast, and everything was included.

There is only one fault with the Erewan and that's the noise of the skytrain as it negotiates the curved track outside. The wheels squeal on the rail which detracts from its otherwise peaceful nature. It's a pity as this could be quite easily resolved.

The Erewan has a great squash court and goid rooftop tennis court. Book a session with Khun Toh who couldn't be more able, helpful and obliging.

We've always enjoyed fantastic food and brilliant service in the Club Lounge. Chariya Promloke cannot do enough to ensure that everything is more than satisfactory.

We've stayed at the main competitors' hotels: Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Peninsula, etc. and we keep coming back here for more.

The newly rennovated rooms at the Grand Hyatt in Bangkok is one of the best. It is cosy and well appointed. The new Grand Club lounge is modern and sophisticated. A great experience for those that are looking for value for money deal at luxury hotel in Asia.

Room Tip: Choose rooms near the elevators.

I have been staying 2 weeks. I have stayed there before but always in a suite. this time using awards, I got a double room supposedly renovated.
carpet is already dirty, closets without drawers would find a better place in a student's dormitory
an octogonal table too large for the room.not talking about a broken armchair that had to be replaced 3 times. to be sorry, they were. I don't remember how many times i have heard it.
house keeping needs supervision.
Hyatt Bangkok has competition on the block. It seems that they forgot it

At almost 300 bahts net, the Phad Thai should be cooked with FRESH shrimps !
I have been surprised that they used frozen shrimps... which has been confirmed by a manager of the restaurant
What a pity... I will find an other place to eat a Phad Thai
