“Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2012

Travelling alone from the airport (via Airport Link and transferring to Metro) to the hotel is a breeze as the hotel is located right next to the BTS and 5 mins away from the Metro. No worries about losing your way as they are all connect via the BTS skywalk. Early Check in process is rather quick eventhough I had to take the lift thrice (once to the lobby, 2nd to the executive club floor, 3rd to my own floor). The rooms are very well furnished and clean and the Westin Heavenly Bed really sent me straight to my dreams within 5mins upon lying down (maybe I'm just too tired from the morning flight). Overall, I would recommend all to stay there!!

The Westin is a great hotel in a great location as it's next door to Terminal 21 shopping centre and Robinsons Department store. Also, the sky train is at your doorstep which makes it easy to get around.
Taste restaurant at the hotel is great for a la carte as we had dinner there one night and the servings were very generous and the food was great. The service is very good and all the staff speak english and are more than happy to help with any requests you may have.

Room Tip: Great location as it's right next door to the new shopping centre called Terminal 21. They have...

Stayed here for 4 nights attending business meetings also held on the hotel.

Rooms are a little tired but very clean and comfortable. Aircon failed and was fixed quickly and efficiently. A good 4+ star standard.

Restaurant and bar very good. Food and service great. Service and standard on meeting rooms excellent.

Hotel seemed very well located and central to a hive of activity.

Most efficient and welcome was the airport meet and greet if you book a transfer through the hotel. Well worth the 4,000 baht return. On the way out their man at the airport even assist you to the check in counter. For me this was exceptional service and to be commended.

One year later, same great staff, same great property - if you like Westin's then this is the hotel for you in Bangkok.

That is both a major compliment and a minor complaint.

The WGS is a stellar hotel that protects the Westin brand very well, however, other than the language of the staff and the offerings at the lunch buffet, this hotel could just as easily be found in any major city - and it would compete very well with the other properties in any city.

Great beds, nice executive lounge, wonderful gym, lovely lobby and exceptional service. Everything you expect from a Westin.

Further, its commitment to recognizing members of the SPG loyalty scheme is similarly exceptional.

If you haven't been to Bangkok before, and you value predictability while craving a five-star experience, I strongly recommend to you the Westin Grande Sukhumvit. Business travelers, particularly, will take comfort in knowing their needs will be attended to as they conduct the important tasks of their jobs. It's location at the intersection of the BTS Skytrain and the MRT subway makes any inter-city travel a breeze. This hotel will not disappoint you.

Room Tip: Join Starwood Preferred Guest. Ask for room facing Sukhumvit, not Terminal 21 (they will understand...

Stayed for one night on my way back from Phuket to London. Most annoying thing about this hotel is that receoption is on the 7th floor, so you have to get 2 lifts to get to your room. Check in was efficient and friendly and the rooms were clean and well equipped.
The location was good, right next to the station and there is a 24 hour McD next door if you get feel peckish at night.
It has a very similar feel to it's sister hotel Le Meridien but doesn't carry it out as well.

Living in Bangkok we try to spend at least one weekend a month in a different inner city hotel. The westin is a great choice because you are guaranteed a great bed. When we stayed the top floors were under renovation which meant the pool and gym were shut. You could get passes to use the facilities at the Sheraton across the road but that seemed like too much effort. The area where westin shines is it's breakfast buffet. A great choice of fresh foods and even a frozen yoghurt station. We will go back again if we get good rates as the bed and breakfast are in themselves worth it. That being said there are plenty of other fabulous bkk hotels at cheaper prices, so it pays to shop around.
