I have stayed at this hotel 3 times over the last 5 years and each time the experience can't be beaten. The staff are very friendly and only too happy to help. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Thailand but I think this is the best I have stayed in for the way staff look after you, for example on the ground floor there is always a person to call the lift who greets you and makes you feel special.
The hotel has a raised walkway directly into Asok BTS station and Sukhumvit MRT station is only 5 minutes walk away so it is very easy to get around Bangkok if you stay at this hotel. If you want to get to the Grand Palace and reclining Buddha from this hotel it is easy to get to by going from Asok to Siam and then changing to get the BTS to Saphan Taksin and then getting the boat up the river.
I LOVE the rooftop swimming pool area as it is beautiful and so realxing after a day sight seeing in Bangkok. The pool has approximately 25m where you can swim laps and also lots of interesting areas to swim leisurely around. The hot tub is great to relax in as well as the poolside bar.
The breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of Western food as well as Indian and Japanese selection. There are numerous restaurants on the streets around the hotel, a favourite of ours is "Monsoon" which is about 5 minutes walk away on Sukhumvit Soi 8, Sukhumvit Road as it is reasonably priced and serves great food. There are many street markets around the hotel selling souvenirs, T-shirts, street food etc so after dinner it is really interesting to browse the market stalls when walking back to the hotel.
This hotel is a great place to stay in Bangkok and I definitely recommend it! :-)
