“Luxury in the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

As a 24hr stopover, this hotel was a welcome relief for the weary traveller. From the moment we were met at the airport until we were delivered safely back (and checked in!) the service, quality and value for money were faultless and exceeded expectations. In a balcony river view room, there was ample space for my travelling companion and I, the room was well appointed and the steam shower heavenly. Taking the boat across to the bua and shopping complexes was sheer pleasure and the restaurant staff delightful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

This was the third time I had stayed at the Pen. As usual it was amazing. From the in-suite check in, to hiring the Pen Tuk-Tuk to go wizzing around town, to the Rolls Royce airport pickup..it was great.

Breakfast can be a little bit of a struggle at peak times and the service was patchy, but if that is all you have to complain about then its not all bad.

The suites have everything in there you would expect, great views and lots of room. We had dinner at the Thai restaurant on one evening and played "order roulette"..we asked for advise on the best dishes to have and we were not disappointed.

I know I am biased as I love the Penninsula, but give it a go...you will not be disappointed!

The room was beautiful with fabulous views of the river and the city. Everything was immaculate despite it not being that new. For example it was obvious from the technology that it's been there a good while but everything was in great condition and not at all tired as the case in many hotels. We could not fault the room at all, other than the fact that there was no coffee, only tea, provided. That was a bit strange for this quality of hotel. There were lots of nice touches like getting your morning newspaper through a hatch into the room and leaving your shoes in the hatch then pressing a button for them to be cleaned. By magic they would be clean when you next looked!

It is true that it's slightly inconvenient location-wise as you have to take a boat across the river every time you want to go somewhere. We found it fun for a couple of days but it could get annoying during a longer stay if you want to go out and about.

Room Tip: Corner and front rooms have great views

From the moment I stepped in the front door the staff were smiling and very, very helpful. It is a quiet area and my room was spacious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Bangkok, Thailand also from another country. Perfect!

Overall the Peninsula Bangkok is very nice and love the property and pools. The rooms are simple and traditional but kept up to date. Also the controls in the room are a bit dated looking but all work and they are great. It is not the Peninsula Hong Kong but still worth a stay. The only thing, note to the management is to renovate that lobby, it's dark and so simple i feel like I'm in an old China hotel from 20 years go. Looks like a card room ! Ha.

Oh and by the way the Spa was nicely designed and also great treatments too. The Pools make this hotel to me and of course the nice view of the Chao Praya River. And to the management the service was great and even at the pool which is very rare in any hotel brand !

This hotel is beautiful it is across the river which makes it a bit inconvenient because of the city traffic, however they have boats that constantly are crossing, so it´s not that bad.
We didn’t spend that much time in the hotel, we went out all day to visit the temples and the national palace, etc…
The room we got was very big and in the corner so we had a lot of view.
The Terrace Cafe is very big and poorly attended; because it located near the river so many people come to dine at this hotel.
But the spa is amazing, it is a must!
I would defiantly come back to this amazing hotel.

Room Tip: Corner room !

The Peninsula provides a 5 star experience except it has not invested in its river cafe and terrace. The area needs investment to match the rest of the hotel. Its riverside terrace should be a star attraction but the level of service, entertainment, facilities and decor are sub standard.
Generally the hotel is great with excellent service

Room Tip: River view up to 8th floor, not above - you're just in the air.
