Have stayed at the Pan Pacific on several occasions and always rebook as it is good value in a fab location in the heart of the city.

This time we were on the Pacific Floor with all the excellent amenities that offers - and over a weekend the price is particularly cheap for the perks included . . separate check in, separate breakfast area with buffet, cocktails free between 5 pm - 8 pm as well as all day soft drinks and 'snacks' eg. canapes sandwiches sushi and cakes and late check out.

Bed comfortable, room excellent, view spectacular and service as always impeccable.

On the downside I must point out that I feel that the swimming pool area is now sadly in need of a revamp to match the rest of the hotel. The pool tiles are very discoloured and several are cracked and the sunken 'seats' on the right hand side of the pool needed a good clean - they were covered in algae. The bathroom in our room on the pacific floor also could do with a makeover - the shower grout was rather dirty and the shower itself was poor.

I am sure that these matters are probably in hand, in fact I think some work was going on in other bathrooms on our floor while we were there - the swimming pool however may prove a little more difficult to sort while the hotel is in full operation.

Still loved my stay at the Pan Pacific and would recommend as a well situated comfortable good value hotel.
