“My expectations were exceeded”

I didn't take the beautiful photos on their website seriously. However, on arrival at the hotel, I met a team of the most courteous hotel staff in my entire travel experience. What impressed me most wasn't the high rise building or other aesthetics but the hotel staff were indeed awesome! I enjoyed every moment of my stay, the pool should have been bigger though. Nice place. Great value for money!

“very un-impressed”

Our flight was delayed and we got here at 1.30am, the staff were not helpful at all and left us standing about for about 30 minutes while they checked us in, breakfast wasn’t included and we had to pay 1000bht – equal to £10 for each of us!! This was a total rip off. The hotel isn’t in the centre of Bangkok. Room was ok, very outdated. Free wifi in the LOBBY only so if you want to use it you have to go and sit down there. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Dear Bonz M,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us why our service failed to meet your expectations.
Your comment on the a la carte breakfast charge, since you did not book the room including breakfast is noted. On a side note, free wifi is also available at the restaurants and lobby bar, where you can sit comfortable on the sofa. (without the need of ordering anything)

Thank you again, for your honest feedback. We hope to have the pleasure of serving you again in the future.

With kind regards,

Max Sieracki

“Amari atrium...true value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

as a loyal amari customer i decided to try amari atrium this time insted of the regular amari watergate hotel. The hotel with its distinct building style stands out unique. The hotel is located on the petchaburi road though a bit far from the pratunam mbk and siam shopping malls. The rooms are clean but a bit old styled. The staff is as usual typic ally amari....well behaved helpful and courteous. The breakfast was very lavish. The best thing about the hotel is the price. Its the best hotel considering value for your money. All in all not as great as the amari watergate but considering the value for money. ..best hotel in bangkok. It has got a 7 11 very nearby. The relatively off location doesnt really matter though as train station is nearby and taxis are always available. Another thumbs up to amari...

“Excellent hotel, fantastic staff and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

Arrived at hotel after a long flight and was allowed to check in early which was fantastic as check in is normally 2pm and we arrived at 8am. Check in staff were very friendly and welcoming. From arrival at the hotel to being in the room was less than 15 minutes.

The room
We were in room 2018 on the 20th floor with great views over Bangkok. The bed was firm but very comfortable - plenty of pillows. There was a sofa, desk and TV in the "lounge" area. In the wardrobe there was slippers and robes which was a nice touch.

The bathroom was compact and fully functional. Had separate bath and walk in shower - we never had a problem with water pressure or temperature (always hot). Bathroom was also well stocked with soaps, shower gel, shampoo etc. also plenty of towels

There was a safe in the wardrobe and a minibar available (not too over priced) but if you don't want to buy from the minibar there is a 7-11 shop (go out the front of the hotel and turn right - about a minute walk).

Bars / Restaurants
We used Mingles bar which I would say was fair in price and they have happy hours and promotions on (buy 1 get 1 free).

Breakfast in the hotel was fantastic - plenty of choice, fresh and hot - we went for breakfast at 9:30 and thought it would not be great as it was towards the end of breakfast but we were totally wrong.

We did not eat at the hotel in the evenings so cannot comment on that. We did however walk to the Indian restaurant (front of the hotel, turn right and it's called Indiagate - this I would highly recommend - fantastic food and very good prices.

Pool etc
We only sat around the pool for a short while as was out and about but it was clean and warm. The sun loungers were more than comfortable. There was also a hot tub which we did use - nice temperature and very relaxing after a long day out and about in Bangkok.

Staff
The staff are a credit to this hotel - no matter what time of day or night they were friendly, welcoming and professional. Never a grumpy shrug, frown or attitude of "don't want to be here" as we have experienced elsewhere.

In summary I would use this hotel again and would highly recommend it. Yes like others have said there is not a lot within walking distance but the most we ever paid in a taxi was 200baht which is very reasonable.

Room Tip: The higher rooms have better views over Bangkok

“Excellent hotel, excellent service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

Stayed here for three nights,I cannot fault the excellent service, the staff are so polite and nothing is too much trouble. The room was large and spacious the bed was very large and very comfortable, which I find in many hotels is unusual.
We ate here twice food was very good, and we did take advantage of the 2 for 1 drinks on an evening 9.30 to 10.30.
Prehaps it's not the best location but taxis are very cheap but do negotiate pay no more than150baht to siam square.
Do beware of the tuk tuk on our first night here was travelling back to hotel when a motorbike draw up alongside me and tried to steal my bag very scared just managed to hold on to it, taught me a very valuable lesson do keep very tight hold of your belongings. Also would like to add taxi drivers do try and take you to suit shops be very firm and say no.
All In all have had a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back again.
