It was the third time we have stayed at the Amari and now it is our last time.

The hotel is looking tired and shabby and the rooms are not to a good standard. staff not particularly interested in helping. It's location is good as it is close to Nana sky station and the nights markets are fun and safe to walk around and browse and buy cheap shirts etc. There are lots of restaurants near by to eat and drink. Across the road is a good 'supermarket' which serves very good food at a cheap price. Sesame rolls in ginger are fab. Not a backpacker area. Just a shame the rooms are not good. The bath was so stained no one would want to use it, plugs hanging of the walls and bulbs missing in the sockets. Carpet was stained. Wifi was free which is a plus.

Room Tip: Should have delux room as I can't imagine how bad a lower grade room would be.

Thank you for your review further to your stay with us. I was concerned to read about the condition of the room which we assigned to you and offer your sincere apologies, as you obviously came back for the third time based on pleasant past experiences.

Even though a renovation is planned for the hotel, this does not excuse for hanging plugs, stained bath and lights not working. I appreciate you brought this to our attention.

Yours sincerely

Nice place for a budget travel. The hotel staff were nice and helpful.
We also love their cozy place where the breakfast buffet is serve.
The little downside is that the staff aren't good in English conversation so we had a bit rough time ordering esp when ordering room service by phone. Other than that this was a nice hotel and we had a good stay.

Thank you very much for your review. I was happy to learn that you had a pleasant experience with us, but have duly noted your comment about our level of English proficiency, especially in room service, this for future improvements.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back on a future visit to Bangkok.

Bangkok offers many excellent hotels at different price points, unfortunately the Amari just does not offer any reason to choose to stay here.
The rooms are very tired and overly filled with things, the building is very difficult to navigate, the lifts (elevators) do not take you to all parts of the building e.g to get to the pool we had to change lifts.
The pool area could be lovely but is very tired and crumbling, with no effort to make guests comfortable e.g. no toilet or changing area, rough edges and cracked tiles.
We were upgraded so I do not knwo what the stabdard rooms would be like but I have stayed in many better places in Bangkok in the same price range.

Thank you for your review. I was sorry to read that overall your experience with us did not meet your expectations due to the rooms, pool and configuration of the hotel, which is indeed made of two buildings. Your comments in regards to the swimming pool and rooms condition. A renovation of the hotel is actually planned.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Yours sincerely

This was our second of two stays here at the Amari on the same trip to Thailand, and we were massively impressed. The reception were very welcoming, all the bar and restaurant staff were super courteous and friendly and very helpful.
The location is great if you don't want to be too much in the thick of it all (not many gap year bookers) but minutes away by the sky train if need be. Plenty of bars and restaurants really near and the Nana station moments from the door. Definitely going to use it as our Bangkok hotel whenever we visit Thailand.
