“good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

A good hotel though not the best I've stayed at. The room and bathroom were pleasant enough and our aircon was good but others complained their aircon wasn't working well. I think there must have been a problem as the public areas and meeting room was not cool enough. We had to have our coffee maker replaced but the service was very fast. The pool area was excellent, shame the sun went behind buildings late afternoon. The hotel was near the Skytrain which was easy to use. Food at breakfast and an evening meal was good especially the massaman curry!

Dear Annem03

Thank you for taking time and trouble to review your recent stay at the JW Marriott Bangkok. I am pleased to learn that you have enjoyed your stay at the hotel overall and that you were satisfied with the experience.

I have noticed your remark about apparent lack of air conditioning in some of the public areas and the meeting room. Having already looked into this issue I can report that they have been resolved. The temporary inconsistency occurred due to a faulty air handling unit.

I appreciate your feedback and sending you very best regards

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott and really enjoyed the service from the excellent staff in the Executive Lounge. Worth mentioning were Babe, Joom, Mimi, Aphinya, and Chaba. Their friendly attitude and excellent service made my stay very enjoyable.

I had the opportunity to choose JW recently. I was fortunate to select a room on the executive floor. The check in was excellent but the staff on the executive floor was the best I've ever experienced. They were so outstanding, I asked for their names to write this review, and I've never done this before.
Thank you to Aphinya Manjai, Aiwarin, Sky, and Chaba. They made an excellent team. One member stood out as consistently providing caring service way above and beyond what ever expected. Aphinya Manjai should be recognized as an employee that any business would, and should, cherish. Thank you Aphinya for making my stay most memorable.

Room Tip: choose the executive floor

Dear ozretired

How nice to read your review together with the recognition of the associates at the Executive Lounge.

There was a small gathering at the property yesterday afternoon, thanking the team at the Executive Floor for all they do for the guests day in and day out, generating so many inspiring and positive reviews in this forum. Taking care of guests so they come back again and again this is what the hotel is all about.

Wishing you safe travels and looking forward to have you back again in the not too distant future.

Best regards

Dear Ben-3eed

Thank you for your comments about the JW Marriott Bangkok and for pointing out the proximity of the hotel to the Bumrungrad International Hospital - one of the world's Top Ten Medical Destinations.

Indeed many visitors choose the JW Marriott Bangkok for this reason, besides the ideal location along Sukhumvit Road, along the BTS (Sky train) and close to many international restaurants.

Thank you for staying with us and looking forward to welcome you back soon again.

Best regards

I had a very comfortable stay at Jw Marriott phuket so I booked Jw Marriott Bangkok . The hotel looks great from outside . The checkin process was very slow . The room is just ok . The in room dining service is worst . We ordered for cup of cappuccino coffee was served absolutely cold one wherein replacement was done after 25 mins. We went for breakfast in restaurant ordered for simple omelette and tea as per our preference for which order was taken but refused as they could not make as per our preference . The rooms were also not cleaned properly . The housekeeping services were unacceptable . The front office manager and her team is not at all helpful and non-cooperative . I as a marriott reward elite guest am eligible for 15 % disc on laundry , Ird . I went for checkout but there was no discount given . I made them aware was shocked even front office manager was not aware and was asked by me to check from jw Marriott phuket . I waited for 20 mins and got the same . I would not recommend this hotel . The gm is not avb and does not meet guests . I never expected jw marriott hotel to be so unprofessional and this hotel does not follow high standard of Marriott hotels

Dear Taruny

It is with much regret to read your review and I hasten to apologize for the inconvenience we have caused to your family and you due to various operational short comings.

Indeed I am personally very sorry that we have dropped the ball on several occasions. The cold cappuccino from Room Service should have been replaced much quicker. Unfortunately the kitchen run out of the Northern style sausage you preferred with your omelet, with the alternatives offered not being to your liking. Meanwhile I agree that the 15% discount for food and beverage consumptions should have been applied immediately upon check out in recognition of your silver status.

The service levels you have encountered are not what the hotel is standing for. I therefore like to invite you and your family back to the JW Marriott Bangkok for a fee 1 night stay with breakfast to make up for the problems you have encountered.

On a side note, your stay has fallen into a weekend early June. The hotel has a Manager on Duty, representing Senior Management during their absence on Saturday's and Sunday's.

I do hope to be able and welcome your family and you back to the JW Marriott Bangkok in the near future again. In the meantime I remain with best regards

Great hotel and awesome service staff. The staff at the Executive Lounge were amazing. Mimi and her team are top notch. Make sure you tell the reception staff if you want a smoking or non-smoking room. My room had an odor but since I was only staying a few days I didn't bother changing rooms. The gym facility and spa are one of the better ones I have seen in recent travels.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a non-smoking room if you aren't a smoker. I neglected to and my room had...
