“WELCOME TO INDIA!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

We have stayed there before under the brand of NOVOTEL - because it is opposit our norwegian embassy! It was totally changed and should wear the name OLD DELHI!
The main restaurant 9th floor had terrible indian LIVE music and full of turbans ...
the other restaurant 8th floor had only china-food ..

Maybe OK for Indians - but NO PLACE FOR COWBOYS!
They should have told that europeans were totally competed ...
Our room maybe very OK for the new Customers; nothing worked - until Service Personnell came. I still have doubt about the aircondition ...

Room Tip: From 20th to 30th floor you get an overview of Bangkok - thats all ...

Dear Guest,

As a long standing International Hotel in Sukhumvit, the hotel welcomes guest from all across the globe, regardless of nationality.

In regards to your comments regarding Coco’s Café, It has for over 17 years been a well-established Indian and International Restaurant famous in Bangkok for its cuisine, and also features live entertainment.

Xing Fu Located on level 8 is a Award Winning Cantonese restaurant, and we receive constant positive feedback from our guests who experience the restaurant, indeed you can reads this feedback in Tripadvisor.

It is regrettable that you found both our feature restaurants cuisine not for your liking to try. The hotel however also offers a Extensive In room Dining menu as well an extensive A La Carte Menu at Le Boulanger in the Lobby.

The hotel also offers one of Bangkok’s most vibrant Soi’s on your doorstep with an extensive selection of Bars, restaurants and clubs.

In relation to your room, I understand you are referring to the energy saving devices that only activate once your room key is inserted. This is quite a common device in hotels and as you commented our staff were more than happy to assist where you had difficulties in operating this device. I hope you can appreciate that our energy saving device is a pro-active step the hotel takes in Managing its environmental impact.

Again thank you for your feedback.

Kind regards,

Simon Jones

Nice hotel, good service and great location at reasonable price. The food and service are both excellent. The friendly staff, the ambience, the delicious food. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a great selection of foods. We were welcomed with a dish a delicious fresh fruit and plenty of orchid flowers. Thanks so much to all the wonderful staff who helped us enjoy our stay :).

Recently stayed for 2 days while in bangkok. This Hotel is in a good location and although a little on the older side represents excellent value. The shower in the bath is not good however the electric bidets are a welcome inclusion to the bathroom.
Will definitely stay again.

I`ve stayed there during Songkran and booked 2 rooms in the lowest room category. Well, usually booking the lowest booking class in Thailand will most likely give you a unsatisfying experience, here it was a bit different. Room 1 was on 28th floor and quite small compared to Room 2 on 22th altough the booking class was the same. Seems to be they refurbished 22nd floor and repainted all the furniture which made it a nicer finish. Room 1 was a bit worn, well - everything worked fine in both rooms and was clean with a nice wooden floor. Bathtub with shower curtain - something i personally dislike.
Only thing I need to complain is that there were no bathroom anmenties besides a soap. Dont know if its normal but everytime I stayed in any accorhotel i was happy to use the shower and bathgel provided.

Very conveniently located in Sukhumvit area across road from Emporium Shopping Centre. Great value for money with very large lobby area, great staff, and a fine coffee/pastry shop in the foyer. Clean modern rooms, however I would prefer the shower not to be in the bath. I continue to prefer Accor branded hotels and am always happy with any one of these I have selected. This Hotel was no exception.

I have stayed at this hotel often over the years and although an older hotel the rooms have been revovated and are excellent for the value and quality of sleep.

I would certainly recomend this hotel for both service, and location !
