We stayed here late in May 2012.

We upgraded to an Executive King Non-Smoking for approximately an extra £30pn. Well worth it as this then includes free internet access, free snacks/drinks in the Executive Lounge and the room is of a very high standard in the Crown Tower - also the rooms are all on the higher floors which gives you a fantastic view of Bangkok (fast elevators).

Breakfast was included with our deal and is again of a very high standard with plenty of choice.

There is an Indian Restaurant and a Chinese Restaurant on site, although we ate elsewhere.

The Skytrain station is no more than 5 mins walk around the corner and from here you can get to the shopping centres and Sukhumvit Road or Patpong.

The river taxis up to Wat Arun and the Grand Palace are about 15 mins walk, or 5 mins on the Skytrain.

Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and Patpong Market was about 20 mins leisurely walk.

Would stay here again as this is a high standard hotel in a convenient location for all the sights of Bangkok.

We stayed with our 2 daughters and had 2 rooms. It is a great friendly hotel and so well situated for sightseing and shopping. Only blemish was the pool water was brown oneday and it was closed for cleaning which is odd for such a large hotel. The kids were disappointed but ti was rectified the next day.

We stayed here for five nights and found everything to be perfect: the rooms spotlessly clean with one of the most comfortable beds ever! The front desk staff was very professional and helpful in arranging excursions and answering questions, always with a friendly smile. The breakfast buffet was a feast: waffles and omelettes made to order, at least 50 other dishes to try, fresh juices and strong coffee. The location is ideal, only a five minute walk to the Skytrain and within walking distance to the river taxis. And the room rate was almost too good to be true! We were extremely satisfied and will stay here on our next visit to Bangkok ... hopefully soon!

Holiday Inns in Thailand are higher standard than North America, IMHO, this one is no different... 2 years ago I stayed in Lebua on Silom Road, this time Holiday Inn, both equally good.

Service is very VERY good, room nice, Silom road interesting place for sure...

I would stay here again, no hesitation.
