“Perfect stay in Bangkok”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We stayed in Eastin Grant Hotel for 3 nights, during our vacation in Thailand and I can say, this is one of the best hotels I have visited ever! We had executive room at 31st floor with access to the executive loudge situated at 32nd floor. Great bufet breakfast, snack through the day and also in the evening, everything included. From the loudge is perfect view to the river and you are in a touch with the famous sky bar (if you saw hangover 2 you know what Im talking about :)
The room was very new and nice, with big bathroom, We just missed some music channel at the tv in the evening.
The pool at 14th floor was just breath-taking, in the evening very romantic with great view of the city.
Hotel has its own access to the sky train from the 3rd floor, so you dont have to worry about the traffic, and we get also daily tickets for every day of our stay.
This was my first time in Bangkok, but thank to this hotel I fell in love with this city, and Eastin Grand.

Room Tip: Depending on your budget, but if you have enough money, take the executive room with access to the l...

We follow since years Chef Man and now he opened his restaurant in Eastin Grand and as amid Chinese food lovers we can easily say that this might be the best Chinese restaurant in Bangkok. The variety of identical Chinese food is endless and Chef Man's Peking duck is out of this world and compared to other Chinese high end eateries it is very good value for money! This restaurant seems to have alredy a loyal Chinese-Thai crowd which is always a good sign and the restaurant was packed for lunch when we were there. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a weekend visiting with my brother. Wonderful amenities-free internet, included breakfast and amazing infinity swimming pool--5 star hotel at super reasonable prices! We payed about 100 usd per night on Agoda. Our room was gigantic with an amazing view of bangkok and huge queen sized beds in a double room.

The pool was also beautiful and definitely an added bonus of the hotel. Traffic in Bangkok is horrendous so we took the excellent subway which is actually connected to the hotel. A definite plus. Would stay here again the next time we are doing a weekend trip to the city.

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel at the end of November at the end of a 3mth trip before flying back to the UK. When visiting Bangkok I usually stay in the Grand Palace/Khao San Road area, but wanted somewhere a bit more central with good transport links this time.

From the airport it was a 45min journey on the Skytrain changing twice. For the cheap price and ease I don't know why anyone would take a taxi! The hotel is right next to the Skytrain station, accessed by a covered walkway which is great during monsoon season! It's a short trip in one direction to the malls of Siam Square and one stop the other direction to the river boat station for taxis up to the Grand Palace, Wat Arun and Wat Pho etc. Just to repeat, the location is just perfect, as a solo female I wanted a hotel I felt safe going back to at night, which was definitely the case.

I had a standard room on the 15th floor. The views looking east towards the city skyscrapers were superb especially lit up at night, beautiful! The room and bathroom were impeccably spotless and cleaned each day. There was plenty of space for luggage, clothes etc. without cluttering the room.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and had a great selection of food, obviously catering for all visitors; sushi, dumplings, continental and English breakfast items. Service was great too in the restaurant. Although I did feel that service at reception was rather slow, but having spent a bit of time in Thailand I have found that to be the case in most hotels, though I'm not sure why!

I didn't use the infinity pool, but it looked beautiful and modern with cute designed loungers around the edge.

Overall I think this is a great hotel choice, fantastic value for money for a 5* hotel and a great location, unless you only want to visit the main tourist cultural sites, in which case there are better options.

A relatively new hotel in Bangkok. Stayed in one of the corner suites and it matched anything the established five star hotels have to offer at about half the price. Awesome infinity pool on the fourteenth floor. Executive lounge service was impeccable. Only drawback is being on Sathorn Road, the high class address in Bangkok (a new W hotel is opening just down the street). Traffic during rush hour is so bad, it can take an hour by taxi just to go a few miles. However, the hotel has a direct bridge from the third floor to the skytrain station, which makes rush hour travel a breeze if you are going to or coming from anywhere on the extensive skytrain network.

Room Tip: Spring for a corner suite, which is luxurious with spectacular views. It's the same price, or l...

We stayed here for 4 nights and thought the hotel was fantastic, we arrived at around 9 am for check in and there were no problems, quick and helpful.
We had a gorgeous corner room on one of the exec floors which had a fantastic view over towards the river.
The hotel & rooms were clean and modern, the pool on the 14th floor was stunning. We liked the exec lounge but I wouldn't say we got our monies worth because we were out sight seeing everyday and only once made it back in time for evening nibbles/cocktails. It was really nice to enjoy breakfast in the quiet with lovely views though - we had the same table every time we went there.

The only things that I can nit pick is the lifts were slow... didn't bother me as when on holiday I have the attitude that I don't need to rush, if you take that attitude you won't notice it and we ate in Chinese restaurant in the hotel and the service was really poor (so much so that we felt unwelcome there).

About the Skytrain - for us this was a big major plus for us, there is a walkway across the road over to the skytrain and only one stop away is one of the main boat terminals which will take you all along the river. You can also get pick ups here to take you to different hotels.

Going the opposite direction on the skytrain it's really handy if you want to check out the shopping centres, it stops right next to Siam Paragon. which is one of the really big shopping centres.

When we booked this hotel I was so torn because I knew that the river hotels would have nicer views etc but as it happens we saved money staying at the Eastin Grand, we loved the infinity pool overlooking the city & river and because of the easy transport links and cheap taxis back we were able to bar hop in the Shangri La, Mandarin, Peninsula & Hilton because they all have their own boats which take guests from one hotel to another.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the river or one of the corner rooms with bathtub

I spent 3 nights here and I had very good stay. The hotel have direct access to BTS on the 3rd floor & we can use the Sky Train to explore Bangkok city. I think that's very convenient.
The room was very clean and I had a nice river view.
They also provided so many electric plug-ins in the room that very useful if you have a lot gadgets.
And below the tv there's a long table that more than enough to put a lot of shopping bags. They seems pretty understand what tourists want especially in shopping city like Bangkok.
Their staff was friendly enough and the breakfast was great. I felt satisfied.
