We stayed on the executive floor for 10 days, which was definitely worth the extra dollars. The staff was wonderful, so helpful and welcoming. The room was very nice, big picture window with fantastic views. The beds were very comfortable, one of my big issues for hotels in Bangkok. Te desk had all kinds of plug ins for computers, etc. Nice big bathroom. The breakfast was very good, lots of variety and the ability to order from the kitchen (the cinammon banana crepes were the highlight). The pool is absolutely beautiful with the infinity edge overlooking the city, however, it is about 4' deep and not good for little children. There is a small patio area with comfortable lounge chairs. There is a restaurant next to the pool is great for lunch, drinks and snacks. Ioved the ability to get off the BTS sky train and not have to do stairs to get into the hotel. I would definitely stay there again. The manager, Patrick, is very friendly and was always available to assist and ask if there was anything we needed. The only negative is that it is difficult to get a taxi at certain times from the hotel because of the location in the business district at the bottom of Sathorn. Another note, just past the Blue Elephant restaurant, in the Royal Garden building at the back of the first floor, is a terrific laundry, very reasonable and she did a great job, even getting some tough stains out.

I can only recommend the Eastin Grand hotel! The staff is very helpful and VERY fast (especially during breakfast). Rooms are clean and newly furnished. The breakfast has an awesomely large selection of foods and drinks and with the direct access to the skytrain you get to all major locations in the city quickly. Pool and fitness centre are also pretty cool. We even stayed now at the hotel twice, as everything was just perfect. The only little critique I have is about the atmosphere in the breakfast room, which I personally found a little bit cold (not the staff, just the furnishing). But that shouldn't be bothering you when deciding to book this hotel, as everything else is great.

August 2012 saw us on another buying trip in Bangkok.we stayed at the new eastin grand and treated ourselves to the executive deluxe...the extras as well as the superb bedroom and equally huge bathroom were so welcomed after. Hot long day of negotiating..the executive lounge benefits were fantastic...cocktails and canapés for 2 hours...gratis!..and canapés and soft drinks all day...coffee?tea? All here...breakfast was so amazing..no line up to beat the usual throng for an over cooked breakfast in the lower grade hotels...simply choose a few items and sit down...you are waited on for the best fresh hot tea or offer and scrumptious freshly made to order pancakes or eggs...however your heart desires!..and served to your table...staff always obliging and smiling...
We were treated to personal book in on the 32 nd floor reserved for executive rooms.?but initially we were greeted in the reception area by equally pleasant staff...a minor problem with our TV was immediately attended to by the " expert"!....and location?..the best...free BTS passes and a 200 Mtrs walk to surasak station...and off we went....no queues for tickets or change...
We have booked again for the 25 nov to dec 4 ...we are so impressed...don't miss this gem!

Room Tip: Choose the package option with free BTS passes included...you won't regret it!..and if you can...

Great hotel for a few days in Bangkok. Staff are extremely welcoming, polite and attentive. BTS passes were a bonus and helped us get around the city. Breakfast was very good and Executive Lounge was worth the extra money for all day soft drinks and evening cocktails/wine. Rooms were large and bed was huge! Loved the pool area that overlooked Bangkok from the 14th floor. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to Bangkok.

Room Tip: The Executive Rooms are worth the extra £20 as you get all days snacks, soft drinks and hot drinks a...

We stayed at the hotel for four nights and were very impressed. This hotel has been open about six months and is well on its way to earning a well deserved reputation. The quality of the room is very high with great views out across the city and great room servicing. The breakfast choices are so vast you spend quite a bit of time just choosing. We dealt with the Concierge staff on a number of occasions and all of them were so helpful. When we arrived we asked Jo where a good nearby restaurant was and he recommended Thanying, a short walk away, which serves some of the best quality food in Bangkok at really good prices. The bar and pool area on the 14th floor is a great place for relaxing. You can be in the pool at its edge and stand in the water staring out over towards the river for ages! Really good service at both checkin and check out and there is free WiFi throughout the hotel. Highly recommended!

I like almost everything about Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn!

My boyfriend and I stayed there in October 2012. We paid around US$110 a night including all taxes. All-you-can-eat breakfast included. The room and bedroom were pretty standard (one king bed, one desk, closet, standing shower, no bathtub), not big, not small. Typical room for maybe a 4.5 star hotel. Nothing special in the decoration. They're clean though. The view from high floor was nice. The hotel breakfast was excellent. Breakfast started at 6 AM and they offered great selections of Western and Asian food, from sausage, eggs, pastries, to dim sum, congee, sushi, etc, and they were all fresh and tasted great! The waitresses were very attentive, both at the breakfast restaurant on the fifth floor and at the restaurant next to swimming pool. The infinity swimming pool on the 14th floor was to die for. We went to the pool every day to catch sunset and stayed until late. The view of the city was spectacular from there! And the water temperature was good. The restaurant near the pool had higher price food compared to other restaurants in Bangkok, but very cheap if you compare it to North American restaurants, especially considering the quality, portion, and presentation of the food. They're delicious! Good margarita! Food was around 300 BAHT or 10 bucks a plate, and alcoholic beverage a bit less than that, plus 7% VAT and 10% service charge. There's a bridge connecting the hotel (on the third floor) to the BTS (skytrain) station, so it's very convenient to go anywhere.

All the staff were friendly and trying to be helpful. I'd rate their service excellent but their English could (or should) definitely be improved, especially for the staff working at the lobby/concierge. It was a bit frustrating trying to explain things or get answer from them at times about direction, place to eat, to exchange money, etc.

In overall, we had quite a smooth and relaxing stay there and will definitely be back there when we're back to Bangkok!

Room Tip: Superior room might not be different from standard room in terms of size, facilities, just better vi...

The best thing I love about this hotel is that it is directly connected to the BTS Surasak station. It is very convenient especially for a single female traveller like me. The hotel is relatively new, you can still smell the wood of the furniture when you walk into the room. The breakfast buffet is great, there is a lot of choices. As always, Asian hospitality is the best. The staff is all smiles and courteous. Love this hotel. Suitable for family, couples and solo.
