“Oldies Cafe, Watergate Pavillion, Ratchaprarop Rd, Pratunam, Bangkok”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

If you happen to be around Pratunam area and love listening to beautiful songs from the 60's and 70's, a more relaxed and cheap place to have real good Western & Thai food is @ the Oldies Cafe on the 5th floor of the Watergate Pavillion in Ratchaprarop Rd...a 3 mins walk from Indra Regent Hotel and Pratunam Markets. Oldies Cafe has a daily fresh Salad Bar for 99 Baht-All you can eat-Buffet, with a free drink. You can sit, relax and enjoy as much soup, salads, cakes and Apple crumble all for 99 Baht! I walked past by accident and now my husband and I are regulars there. If you are on Facebook, you can click on to 'Oldies Cafe' Bangkok, Thailand. The Oldies' Cafe hosted my Husband's Birthday @ the restaurant last week (03/02/2013) and I must say, it was one of the Best Birthdays ever! With 50 guests, A Salad Buffet, Carrot soup, Mushroom or Japanese Mossimo Soup of your choice followed by Apertizers ( NZ Mussels in spinach cream, Crispy fried prawns, Crumbed Onion rings, Chicken nibbles) followed by the Mains... A blend of Western and Thai...Tom Yom Goong, Green Chicken curry, Crispy fried fish, Spaghetti Seafood, BBQ'd Pork Ribs, Grilled Lamb chops in red wine sauce,Pouched Jacket potatoes, Fried rice and Plain Rice then the assorted dessert of your choice, a Blackforest Birthday cake with 60 chocolate Strawberry cupcakes as tokens and unlimited drinks (Heineken/Leo/Singha beer, Red/White wine/ soft drinks/fruit punch or drink/hot beverage of your choice....with all the decorations and printing of Invitation cards... There were so much food left for everyone to take away, all for a surprisingly low 32,000 Baht..USD$1071 or NZD$1267 !!!!

“By the way”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

It's not a place you'd go out of your way to eat at, but if you're passing by and stopped for a bite you wouldn't be too disappointed.
It's a small restaurant serving decent Thai and western food. They play music from the 60s and 70s hence the name. I did hear a lot of Elvis while I was there.

“pleasant place to rest and have a meal.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

Is a great place to eat and to rest one's feet after a day's walkabout. Food is great - especially the fried flat noodles (normal fried noodles, not the egg noodles) with spare ribs - absolutely fantastic!

“Good Cheap Thai Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012

I found this place by accident while wandering around the Siam Centre. The setting is 60s rock and roll feel with old jukeboxes.Service was good. Their lunch specials were very cheap and a great choice of thai dishes. Spicey Tom Yum was one of my favourites.

“good meal inside Siam Center”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2011

This restaurant/cafè, on the fourth floor of Siam Center, it's a pleasant break after a shopping session. A large jukebox plays a selection of '50s and '60s music. They serve Thai, American and Italian foods. We had fried calamari and chicken with cashews nut: tasty and well presented. Clean and economic restaurant.
