One of the most eccentric places I have been in Bangkok. When you arrive at Sam's house you climb a fire-escape style stairs to the roof of his house. Covered in plants and flowers you will find a few tables and chairs, the ones you have in your garden, and are greeted enthusiastically by Sam, owner, chef and manager of Sam's fish and chips.
Service is good - all-though might be menu is small and short but he has great food on there, freshly prepared. Fish and chips is good, steak is good, pork spare ribs are good and all accompanied with garlic bread and mixed salad (in our case).
The most interesting is the decor, the company of the always upbeat Sam and the chance the meet his friends and also the filipino musician Paul, who will provide serenades at your request.
if you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner for two on your anniversary you might want to go somewhere else.
