In spite of its rave reviews, it proved surprisingly easy to make a late booking for a table on a Saturday night. The taxi driver had some difficulty finding it, even with the address in Thai.
The menu read well - innovative dishes with lots of interesting flavour combinations; it was difficult to choose. My starter was Mango Salsa Shrimp in a soft Taco, followed by Pan-fried white snapper in a Lavender-infused cream sauce on a chick pea purée. The dessert was sea salt crime brûlée. The pre-dinner cocktails were very good and, for a change, the non-alcoholic cocktails were just as good.
The food didn't disappoint - very well cooked and presented and full of subtle, well-balanced flavours.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, getting a taxi for us and recommending late night venues.
The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars? 2 niggles - no coffee available and the washrooms; visiting them was like entering a very damp cellar,
