This is a well-appointed hotel set in a tower where the lower floors are used for business. as a result the rooms and public areas have good views over the city (and British Embassy). The pool in particular has an excellent view over the city and has a bar for cocktails. The suite was excellent; very spacious with loads of storage space and a good bathroom. The Apple TV was OK and wifi free. We used the hotel as a base to visit the temples, snake venom centre and the shopping malls. The Skytrain stop is just 5 minutes away but Bangkok traffic can be good or a nightmare if you choose taxis, especially in a downpour at rush-hour! The restaurant was fine, if a bit expensive and we preferred eating out in Thai restaurants or the Cafe Jardin on the ground floor. One criticism is that the cuisine is "International" with a nod to the middle-eastern market with very little Thai cuisine and no Thai wines. This was disappointing. Beware taxi drivers to the airport. Concierge arranged for a 'metered' journey, the driver then wanted a very high fixed price. We agreed on half his quote (still generous) and he tried to add a surcharge at the airport!
