“Gazing and Grazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2011

Truely amazing Thailand at Tables Restaraunt @ Grand Hyatt Erawan. Service is beyond the highest compliment I can say. For attire , they all have pin striped suits and wearing a tie as I got in with a T shirt. Almost a kindred spirit here making us feel sad to say goodbyes to our friendly help.
Last nights dinner was everything we go out for, same routine for us, we look for Caesar Salad, Fois Gras, oysters and nice glass of wine and almost any entree to follow will be loved. The Caesar maybe one of the best in Thailand, Fois gras very small portion but a melting spasm on your palate, Its the duck variety. Fin de Clare oysters always a fave with they're briny snap and some mignonette. We spotted some other oysters on the table next to ours in the Florentine and Rockefeller version and had to copy them. Also nice but if you only wish a small order I would choose the raw.
Enjoying the cooking show as many of the dishes are made in the dinning room for all patrons to see, we cant help to notice all the nice plates coming out to neighboring tables. The Rack of Lamb was a beauty and the Cherries Jubilee Flambee was enticing tho we never tasted either. I did tho enjoy the duck breast prepared rare with a delightful sauce, and my date chose a nice shrimp dish in a mild heavy cream sauce. As my girlfriend doesn't drink I only saw the wine by the glass menu tonight. Indulged in two glass' of cabernet and a Johnny Walker Black soda. The bill didn't compare to the service or food, I wasn't damaged or even close to offended. Lovely place for lustful appetites.
late note, bread service nice touch.

“Served like a king...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2011

We had lunch at the Tables and were pleasantly surprised to learn that their set lunch was offered @ around Baht600 only. Not bad for a hotel restaurant, let alone a 5-star one.

The set included an appetizer platter and a main course out of 3-4 choices. We almost fell off our chair when our appetizer platter arrived. The size was very generous and it could very easily feed 3-4 people. The platter consisted of caesar salad, cocktail shrimp and smoked Scottish salmon, all of which using the best quality ingredients. That was mouthwashing! I had the duck leg confit as the main course, which was just okay.

All and all, we had a good time at the Tables. The service was flawless, which came expected from any top notch hotels in Bangkok. The most amazing thing was the price - for around Baht600, we got served like kings and that sort of bargain is very hard to find these days!

“A splendid dinner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2011

We had a terrific dinner here!
The ambience was elegant and sexy. We were impressed by the beautiful wine and wine glasses displays. My husband loved the sizable dining table and chairs.
The food was marvelous! We started with some lovely Fine De Claire oysters. The Caesar salad might be the best in town while the tuna tartare and scallops dishes were flavorsome. The steak was succulent. We enjoyed the ‘live cooking’ too. The complimentary chocolate dessert was adorable! Nice presentation made the dishes even more tempting.
The service was attentive. The waiting staff was professional and friendly.
All in all a great dining experience and we would absolutely recommend this restaurant to our friends!
