“Interactive, lots of fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Although expensive if you're not a student, this museum worth a visit. it explains about Thai culture in a interactive and funny way. We've learnt a lot about the culture playing games and watching videos.

“Educational & Entraining for Children & Adults”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

I took my afternoon trip by walk, started from the Grand Place, Wat Pho, relaxed at Small Park near Chao Phraya River & enjoyed the view of temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) then visited Museum Siam before took a boat to Skytrain station back to downtown.

This is the 1st time that I been here & just found that entrance to Museum Siam is free from 4pm onward. If you would like to take an afternoon trip by walk, I would like to suggest this route.

Museum Siam is different from old traditional museum, I think the kids might like because there are the history of Thailand from ancient to modern. And have many interactive media that a visitor can participate …I liked it

“Start your Thailand trip here!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

This is a really good, interesting and cheap inter-active museum which shows the development of Thailand and the Thai's. A few hours here and you will understand how the Kingdom developed and what Thai people, and their culture, is all about. There are a few gaps, such as World Wars I and II, but Thai's have always been pragmatists! The museum is air-conditioned and situated in a beautifully refurbished 'colonial style' building. Currently access to the place is a bit tough due to engineering on the roads in the area but its easy to get to by tuk-tuk or taxi. The staff are excellent, very polite and many speak English.

“Good for Children”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

This is a good museum for children and young adults to find out about Thai history, but don't expect an adult brain to be exercised if you visit.

“Very good interactive museum for adults and kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This is not a typical museum. It's more like a tour through the history of Thailand from ancient times to now and beyond. A series of rooms, each one covers a period or subject, with succinct and often interactive exhibits.
Its great for kids but also for adults. As far as museums go - this is more on the "light" side...which is a positive for most people.
The building is an historical one. When we visited (feb 2013), the entire area around the building was under major construction, making it difficult to find and inconvenient to enter the facility.
Overall - recommended.
