Oh dear, more cheeky 1/2 line attempts at a review here.
Right, I have been visiting the Londoner (another of those dreadful 'theme' names, lol) on a few occasions when perambulating between soi 33 down to another admittedly 'themed' place that I visit rather more frequently, but which is quite a bit quieter and much more friendly.
Yes, this place is noisy, no question, with young female bar staff dressed rather incongruously in English beefeater costumes that do nothing for local fashion, or history for that matter. The beer is - well, beer. 'nuff said about that, apart from it's not particularly cheap. I've never eaten here so I reserve judgement on the fare that they may or may not serve.
As for the bit about 'ladies', well apparently wednesday is the 'freelancers' occasion as an ex-pat mate of mine kindly but needlessly informed me. Let's face it these people are 2 a penny in that part of Bangkok, so let's not start gtetting carried away or anything.
Be careful of the stairs leading down to the bar, by the way - they're a bit steep, and if you've already stopped several pints from going sour on your way there ... need i say more?
