“A little gem.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

firstly I'll say this the best full English b/fast in Asia yes I know that's a big call but I mean it . The rest of the menu is pretty good to. The bar its self is small and can get over crowded quite fast (Friday-Saturday nights) but a trip to Bkk would not be the same without due homage paid to Chequers bar, be it for a great meal a cold beer or to catch up on you latest sports result the staff are friendly their command of English is very good , they are very attentive but not pushy. over the years I like to think of this bar as my little haven a place to escape the traffic and the heat oh and blokes trying to sell me snide Rolex's or giant Zippos . Oh yes see you for Songkran

“On top of it's game !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

Been in Bangkok for a week, and went down to the pub again. Despite stayiong in one of bangkok's finest hotels, we ate here everynight. Steak, Ale and Mushroom pie, chips (of course) peas and gravy one night, the biggest Gammon steak I have ever seen another. We worked out there are literally hundreds of choices from Western pub grub, Australian steaks to Thai and Indian food. Mmmm.

They've changed the layout since I was last there, with a concertina type door that opens out onto the street, makes a big difference to the feel of the place.

Thanks to the Owner Nick, and his lovely friend JJ for a great week, I will of course be back !

“My home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I have been travelling to Bangkok for a number of years & always visit Chequors (sometime 5 times a week)
This is one of Bangkok's finest little pubs, offering a wide range of beers, together with EXCELLENT, consistent home cooked Britesh food, generous portions & good value, combined with friendly, informal service in a relaxing atmosphere, a great place to watch sport & mix with the locals, expats & tourists, Make the most of your weekend & try the fabulous roasts,
well done Nick, see you on my next visit
