everything about this hotel is so good, I almost don't want to write a rave review so people won't keep making the hotel so full (I tried to book for three nights but they're full so I only got one night). but that would be a disservice to the wonderful hotel and the people who work there.

location: about a five minute walk from the wongwian yai train stop. it's the last stop though so it's a bit far from things geographically, but the train stop is there. also the neighborhood is quiet and very safe. my partner and I were walking at around midnight in the area and nothing seemed shady.

room: the bed was a bit too firm for me but it was still comfortable. the room has an LCD tv, a queen sized bed and a sofa (probably why the room seemed small). it also has a small refrigerator, coffee maker and other little things that you'd expect from other hotels that have at least 4 stars.

bathroom: very clean.

service: excellent. very personalized. they're warm, caring and go the extra mile to help you. the staff were very helpful and conscious about maintaining cleanliness. they also speak English very well. the girl at the breakfast place was likewise helpful and caring, making small talk with everybody and at one point even taking a little boy away for a stroll in the garden so his mother could eat in peace.

breakfast: the well appointed breakfast restaurant is small and cozy. while you don't get unlimited meats and eggs, different kinds of yoghurt, breads, cereals, beverages and local fruits are included in the buffet. very yummy.

conclusion: this hotel is easily worth 3000 baht but it's only at a little over half of that if you know where to look online. great value for money. no wonder this is one of the top hotels in Bangkok.

This hotel was surprisingly nice for the price, we paid 117 USD for 4 nights.
Hotel picked us up at the airport at no charge
breakfast is very good, opt for Thai dishes rather then America/European, they are not spicy and much better tasting

overall be very carefull in Bangkok, jewelry fraud - government stores etc...all lies. Men's tailor shops...also fraud, low class materials.
in short, do NOT buy anything except souvenirs, its all fake. All tourist prices are jacked up 10 fold so bargain, walk away etc...you'll see how prices drop.

Eat street food, its very good

Grand palace is open every day 8:30 - 4, do not believe anyone that it is closed for religious holiday

Room Tip: rooms are just to sleep, dont spend a lot of time in them, explore the city

We had a lovely stay at Bangkok Loft Inn. Even before you arrive in Bangkok you get a very detailed email with directions to the hotel. The doorman was a really cheerful and enthusiastic gentleman who is truly passionate about his job and looked out for us as we were approaching the entrance after a long day of sightseeing. This was almost midnight and he was incredibly alert.

It was extremely convenient to get to the main places in Bangkok as the Skytrain is a five minutes walk away. The front desk staff were really helpful and upon arrival offered us some delicious tropical fruits upon check-in.

Our room was luxury. Comfy bed, and the air conditioning was adjustable to our preferences. Two bottles of water which our porter helpfully placed into the mini fridge after helping us with our luggage. We could've slept in till noon. Breakfast buffet was a dream and a beautiful lady prepares the breakfast set which you can pre-order a day before. I loved the congee dish which was cooked to perfection.

What more could I say about this wonderful hotel that has truly earned its stripes. We will be back some day.

This hotel have such a great reviews and Tripadvisor and I just had to book it through Agoda. The location is a bit far but it's not a problem since the BTS Wongwian Yai is 5 minutes away. The 7-11 is pretty close by and there is a small market near the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to everyone as it has a good value. THE STAFFS ARE AWESOME!

Room Tip: Choose the one in the back.

The other reviewers have said it all. For the price you paying its a steal. We jokingly asked for mangosteen fruit one day and was suprised to see it on the breakfast table the next! Staff are absolutely awesome. However i had one drawback. Being so hot in bangkok i needed to shower both in mornings and evenings, Hotel however would not suppy any extra towels which was a drawback. Well you cant win all the time i suppose!!

We stayed on 2 separate occasions in Dec 2012. Both times the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful and went over and beyond to assist you in any way they could. First night I was a little disappointed with the decor - it seemed tired and in need of some refurbishment. It was also on the side of the very busy main road so was fairly noisy.

On our second stay - same floor but on the other side of the building the room was very impressive and much quieter. On the whole I would recommend it to stay in.

Room Tip: Room at the back of the hotel def quieter. For clarification we did not use swimming pool or fitness...

We stayed 4 nights at the Bangkok loft inn in early January. Our flight arrived early in the morning, and after a 25 hours plane travel, we were really glad that the hotel arrange an airport pick-up for us. Driver was kind and drove safely. We paid approximately 7 dollars for our transfer.

The first thing you will notice arriving at the hotel is the friendly staff. They welcomed us with a fresh drink. They made it possible for us to to get our room early, no extra charge.

Room: Extremely clean room with great air conditioning, cooling the room in no time. We were staying on top floor on street side. We could hear the cars and mostly honking, but it was no problem for us, as the days are exhausting, and we were sleeping with ear plugs.

Breakfast: Breakfast is served between 7:00 am to 10:00 am. You have to choose what you want to eat the night before. They have a nice selection of different meals, western, Asian or soup, along to access to the fruit and bread buffet. The food is great and really tasty. Breakfast is served in a nice ambiance, with soft music, great to start long and busy day in a big city.

Staff: Never have we went out or come back to the hotel without seeing a nice smile and a genuine greeting. The staff makes the Loft inn what it is. Delicious fresh fruits in the afternoon until late at night to greet you when you come back from visiting. They are always happy to help you find a good cab, negotiate a price for the tuk-tuk and also help you with visiting tips and best way to travel.

Location: As everybody is saying, the Loft inn is close to the Skytrain, and also some bus stops to get you near temples. You can enjoy a meal on the street near the hotel, or conveniently go to the 7-11 nearby. For the Skytrain, I would suggest to by a day pass at 130 Bath if you plan on making more than 2 stops. 1 person roundtrip to the BMK mall, it will already have cost you 70 bath, so any other stop make the day pass cheaper.

In conclusion, if we ever go back in Bangkok, the Bangkok Loft Inn will definitely be our home away from home.

Room Tip: 1- Not on street side if possible and 2- the higher the better.
