“Clean, good location and helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

Good but basic accommodation that allows for daily, weekly, monthly or annual rent for a not so bad price £30 per night in high season.

Good location in Silom. Walking distance to Silom rd, (watch your wallets) It's a rife area for pick pocket.

silom is a very gay area in Bangkok.

This is serviced accommodation so no pool or fitness here but the rooms and environment is nice.

This is a case of might have been. Most of the things you would say about the place have a BUT in the sentence. The reception area is nice BUT there was often no receptionist or if they were there they were not much help. When I wanted to check out of the hotel the reception was empty for 15-20 mins. I guess the fact that the receptionist left his 2 phones and laptop there unattended means it is a low crime area! The rooms have a kitchen area BUT minimal equipment, none of which matches. There is a TV BUT only three English language channels and one of those in Black and White. They lend DVDs for free, BUT they rent you the player (for B100 - which is cheap, but somehow petty when the room is B2000). The location is great - up a small alley and very quiet, esp. for that area, BUT this does mean that taxis and tuk tuks struggle to find it. The receptionist called three times to the taxi company without being prompted because the cab took 35 mins to arrive BUT his limited English meant he couldn't, or was too shy to try and, explain what was happening. The best thing about the room was a great shower - good water pressure and hot water, BUT the towels were small and tired. They have a laundry room which is useful for longer term travellers BUT 3 out of 4 machines were broken. There were newspapers in the reception BUT they were all from Mach 2012 and earlier (i.e. 10 months old!). Basically it felt like someone had gone to a lot of trouble to build a nice place and then run it on a shoestring - I felt they just didn't care.

Shame - it has the potential to be be great, BUT....

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Away from all the hustle but still in walking distance to everything. It should only cost you around 350 baht plus tolls(70baht) from the airport to the hotel but make sure to tell your driver it is a one way street. We check in late but the security guard was very helpful in giving us all we required to get into our room. Water and clean towels were provided every day. Rooms are a good side a comfortable in enough to stay for a few weeks. We had booked a 'G' room. The neighbouring streets are filled with local food and there are several 7eleven stores near by. You have two bts stations with walking distance and lots of night life too. Greatly recommend this place if you are looking for a home not a hotel whilst on holidays. Will definetly be back again.

This is a very convenient hotel , as the location is great, just near the subway, and it is very calm, which is more than appreciable in Bangkok!! The rooms are spacious enough, and clean. No breakfast, which is a pity as the lobby is very nice. The staff is friendly but speaks very little English...anyway I stay there each time I go to Bangkok, so of course I can recommend it...

Tucked away at the end of a narrow lane in Silom, Silom Convent Garden is accessible - well situated close to BTS, shops, restaurents and street food. The rooms are clean but they could invest in new linens. The place is quiet and bright. The staff is pleasant and speak enough english. The room had a good sized refrigerator, microwave, china and cutlery. The room comes with free wifi. Public areas are tastefully decorated. I would recommend this to someone who wants a clean, safe and peaceful room that is still close to everything. Value for money.

Just finished a 2.5 month stay at Silom Convent. I was perfectly happy with the studio apartment.

Liked: Clean, bright, cheery; 24-hour DIY laundry room (B120 for wash / dry but you'll need your own detergent / softener); send-out laundry (B30 per piece) and back in 2 days; easy 7 min walk to either Chong Nonsi or Sala Daeng BTS stations; neighborhood is quiet but well-lit, never felt unsafe; accessibility to restaurants (posh / indoors / street food, take your pick). I counted about 90 places to eat within a 10 minute walk...

Could be better: Kitchenette had microwave, sink, fridge, cutlery but no burners. It would've been nice to have some place to make simple meals; no swimming pool; very few cable channels

That being said, I ended up joining the huge 9th floor swimming pool at the nearby Trinity Complex (5 min walk) for B2,000 / month, and had cable installed (B2,000 deposit for cable box)

Overall, a good stay. Most of the staff are cheery enough but speak very limited English, so I wouldn't rely on them for any touristy recommendations. But they were responsive when I needed extra hangers, dish cloths, etc.

I ended up here when the i-residence could not extend my stay. Very nearby and access to all the same transport and shopping facilities. Full kitchen and well suited for a longer stay. No pool, but clean and in a very quite area while still being close to everything. Good find.
