“Perfect for a foodie night out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

I have been wanting to come here for months - can't believe I have waited so long!! The chef presents a set menu of 5 courses (two choices of mains and dessert). Our meal consisted of a delectable selection of mussels in pumpkin puree, beetroot rissotto with parma ham, black pudding sausages with veg, beef with thai spice and garlic with potato gnocchi and quail egg, chocolate and coconut fondant with rum & raison ice cream and a peanut macaroon with pomelo jelly. The set menu is an unbeatable B995 - which is a steal for the meal you will enjoy. The wine selection is decent with the typical steep Bangkok pricing - but that didn't stop us from downing two lovely bottles with our dinner. Defo need reservations - as the chef apparently will only serve 20 people a night on his bespoke menu. I will definitely be back - wonderful experience. Happy days!!

“French cooking with Thai flavors”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

This is a nice little restaurant off a main street, with modern design and pleasant atmosphere. The cuisine also had a modern French feel with a twist of Thai flavors. We had the very tasty tasting menu, which began with a coconut and potato soup with an underlying flair of lemon grass. My husband had a crispy skinned seabass with ginger while I had a pumpkin risotto, and both of these were very mild on Thai flavors, mostly pulling in the French cooking, which the chef excelled in.

Definitely a restaurant worth a visit, but classifying it as a "Thai" restaurant is not quite right. I'd say fusion, but that too implies more balance of each cuisine. This is French cooking, in style and taste, with lovely hints of Thai flavor throughout.

“Combination of great food, environment and service!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

It was a very pleasant surprise even though i have read a lot of positive tripadvisor reviews about the place. The restaurant is small and cosy. We made a booking in advance via email and the manager was prompt and professional in replying. We were blown away by the bread served. Extremely fresh and right out of the oven. Presentation and food was excellent. I am especially impressed by the service: very attentive. With a 5 course meal, they actually changed the cutlery every time before another course arrived. We brought our own wine, corkage was 300 baht. Overall an excellent meal!

“Very Creative”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

I'm a foodie and I was happily surprised by my meal at La Table de Tee. My friends and I had the tasting menu which was original and well-balanced. The price was reasonable and the ambience pleasant. I definitely recommend it!

Tip: Considering that the restaurant is relatively small is might be worth making a reservation before hand if you don't want to be disappointed.

“A Bangkok Treat, Unbeatable Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

First, a confession. I am not usually a fan of fusion cooking. Several tastes competing in the same dish often mask a sub-standard main item whether it be fish, beef, pork or whatever. If the fusion is east meets west, very often it is the east that triumphs and most dishes can have an overpowered quality of chilli or ginger or whatever.

This restaurant quite simply gets everything right. It's a six course tasting extravaganza with a great balance of dishes all the way from the soup to the dessert. Portions are judged perfectly, gradually increasing in size as the evening progresses. They are served timeously but are never rushed. Staff are attentive and sympathetic without being over-bearing. The place seats about 25 diners (maximum) and has an intimate feel. The air conditioning is just right, allowing for a relaxed experience in a mostly sticky BKK atmosphere.

I dined here twice in October 2012, first as part of a party of five and then as part of a table for four. On both occasions I found the daily changing menu to be executed expertly. On the second occasion I noticed two young women opposite photographed every dish as it was put in fromt of them. Not normal behaviour but I couldn't blame them. The food is beautifully presented but more importantly tastes wonderful.

The menu lists all the ingredients in each dish and you can taste every last one of them. Check the website to see what is served that day.

Above all, you will not find six courses for 950 Baht at this quality anywhere else in Bangkok and I speak as someone who has just returned to the UK after trip number 23.

Good luck to the owner and above all to all those looking for a good night of gastronomy, Bon Appetit.
